One-handed operation, simply start to lift the hood and it will rise unassisted in a smooth and controlled motion.   • ✔ BOLT-IN SYSTEM – This Hood QuickLIFT System is designed and engineered to use existing locations for our vehicle-specific mounting hardware.
  • ✔ QuickLIFT PLUS (ALL BLACK SYSTEM) – All of our installation hardware is designed to last and we spare no expense on the details. First, we zinc plate all steel-mounting hardware, then each bracket is also black powder coated for the ultimate in corrosion protection. QuickLIFT PLUS includes black gas springs. There is a four-year warranty on all QuickLIFT PLUS components.
  • ✔ BLACK GAS SPRINGS – The gas springs used in this application each have a black e-coated steel body with black annealed extending rod. The end-fittings used are designed specifically for this application. Gas strut orientation is always body end up (large tube attaching to hood bracket) and extending rod attaches to lower ball stud.

    The video was a great source to follow on installing. Build quality seems great and functionality works better than expected for the weight of the hood. It does open farther than the hood prop rod would for holding the hood and I like that if the strusts were to go out years from now. I will still have a backup. Eliminating the hood prop allows for more space to work in the engine bay. As well as it works and as easy as it was to install, the value was definitely worth it.!!Note–that you want to ensure the arm’s for the lower struts have space on the sides from the frame of the truck.

    Works just as advertised. Easy to install. Things to know… it states that a deep socket is needed, but I was able to use a standard wrench where the deep socket would be needed. Also, be careful with the small ball joint bolts. I dropped one in the engine and it took forever to find. It is very unlikely to fall all of the way through. And even though Amazon stated that this does not fit on a 2024 Ford Ranger, I successfully installed this on a 2024 Ford Ranger Lariat without any issues.

    These struts should have come with the truck. Perfect fit, easy installation, and work fantastic. If you have a 24 or 25 Ranger, you need these and thank yourself every time you open the hood. I know I do.
