Perfect fit. The only reason this is not a five star is because the vendor doesn’t accurately describe the product. In addition to the part number listed, it comes with part number 3309298.2, the spring loaded clip that is the most common reason for needing this part.

Exact replacement for our Dometic 8500 series awning. The original wall mount bracket must have been a bad casting as half of it broke off. This new bracket bolted on in about 5 minutes. Awning is now good as new.

I researched what I thought was thoroughly and came to the conclusion this was the replacement part for my Dometic awning. Even researching Dometic and diagrams for my unit and replacement and crossover part numbers and reviews that said it was an exact replacement. IT WAS NOT. It mounted on the trailer in the exact spot and hole lineup on the trailer as the old but the spring clip was too wide for the foot of the awning brace. Hence not at all compatible. Since I had mounted it and actually scraped some paint from the new clamp, I doubt I can return it. $50 wasted even though I researched to what I thought was an accurate part. Either try and find the right hardware clamp or replace the support bar foot. What a pain in the awning. I guess you can’t believe everything you read.

Based on other reviews, I was worried this wouldn’t work on my older camper. However, this ended up being a direct replacement.
