    I have a Chevy truck with a V8 engine that will switch between V4 and V8. I’ve read that after time this causes failing lifters and other engine problems. I’m not interested in any of that so I ordered the B.ZSSY disabler. While I have this plugged into the OBD port, the truck does not go into V4 mode. I make sure to unplug it when not driving for long periods just to keep it from draining the battery. It may have protection from that but no instructions were included. Works good.

    It does not fit all GM V6’s. I have a Cadillac CT5 V6 and it does not work.I have bought 3 items to stop the V6 to V4 mode and nothing works.I bought a Range AFM/DFM disabler for my C7 Corvette and it works great. I have had it for 3 years.

    Honestly, I did not feel like paying for some $200+ AFM disabler for my 2016 Chevy Silverado LTZ Z71. V4 mode was quite annoying. However, when I plugged this bad boy in, I noticed no more v4 mode period. No more weird shifting, or lag as my 5.3 stays in V8 mode constantly. I am happy with this product. No frills, just gets the job done of permanently disabling v4 mode 😀

    Product works great, disables the 4 cylinder mode, you get a lot more power from the engine with all cylinders on all the time. No error codes, truck has been to the cadillac dealership for other things besides engine and there has been no errors codes cause of it.

    I was a bit sceptical of the product after trying it out I am happy with it, it keeps my vehicle engine running on 8 cylinders and not switching to 4 cylinders as for the fuel usage there is no difference.

    ’09 Tahoe LT 5.3l and the few short highway trips resulted in full-time V8 mode when rolling down the off ramps.Item arrived quickly (2 days earlier than expected) and very well packaged. I was expecting bubble wrap and surprised at the molded foam. Impressive.I’m comfortable with a saying it’s a recommended buy. If anything changes, I’ll edit if needed.
