This is solidly built and works very well. It was an easy swap with my OE lock that had started wearing out. Works on the slam shut as you would expect it to. Stays shut when it latches. Good product.

It’s a nice latch and looks strong and sturdy, seems like it would work well. Unfortunately it did not fit our RV…a 2019 Rockwood 5th wheel. We’re keeping it though in case we come across someone who needs one

Comes with everything to install the latch – strike plate, fasteners, etc. Seems really well designed though the metal doesn’t seem like anything fancy so I’d be careful about cross threading.I like that it features a mechanism to open from the other side – a nice safety feature if you’re using or replacing a latch in a compartment big enough that someone could get trapped inside.On that note, I also like that you can install this without any access to rivets or screws from the outside – so it is truly secure in that sense. Just don’t lose those keys!Overall a nice latch that’s a little on the pricey side, but a decent value given all the features. Look forward to utilizing for the storage area of my overland rig. Will report back if I discover any issues when installing.

Better quality than the OEM lock it replaced, ALL metal, no plastic. The latch is centered on this lock, it was offset on the latch we replaced

It may be the size but it is not for the thickness of the door. Depth is way off.
