I bought this model and also the larger model and I like both of them.

I purchased a three pack of these having purchased a single one almost 6 months ago. (The items in the three pack appear indistinguishable from the single pack one.)They are a good size for putting on your keychain and I have never had any issues with the smell of the butts escaping. (I have had several non-smoker friends effect a sniff test.)They hold about 8-10 butts if you are willing to spend 30s or so rooting the compressed butts out with a key or the like. If you empty it every 4 or 5 butts, it is a simple matter of letting gravity, perhaps assisted by a flick of the wrist, do the job. (I do tear off the non-filter part of the butt before putting it in the device. If you don’t you’ll obviously fit fewer in and would likely have a greater chance of smell.)The only criticism is that the O-ring is pretty cheap and began to bulge in the first month or so. Fifty sense at the hardware store fixed that.

I don’t smoke often at work, but when I do the ashtray is RIGHT outside my boss’s window. These little tubes are great so far. Can’t speak for longevity, but it worked well for snuffing my butt without doing the “walk of shame.” There weren’t any smells, and the tube was only moderately warm in my pocket. Later, I just tossed the snuffed butt into a trash can. Perfect.

I have a friend that smokes while we’re out. Instead of stepping on her butt, she sticks them in here to toss in the trash when one is available. They are awesome! You can put them in your purse and there is zero smell. 10 out of 10.
