I’ve been ordering a bunch of these straps as I have a boat, jetskis, etc and the straps on the trailer winches always wear out quickly. This strap, to me, seems to be overrated in capacity as it is indistinguishable from other straps I have that are rated for 5000 lbs. The quality seems good, and the hook is decent, it’s just that the strap itself is lighter than I was expecting. It shouldn’t matter, as it will be used for a winch on my jetski trailer so it will only be pulling about 1000 lbs.I’m only giving it three stars as it’s a decent strap, but the rating knocks it down a notch to me. For reference, I usually rate things 3 stars if they meet expectations, 4 stars if they’re better than expected, and 5 star ratings are saved for things that exceed expectations.

Hopefully it’s as strong as it rated time will tell.

Can’t speak as to the whole boat thing, since I got this to use for a very large hammock that my entire family gets on. The price is cheaper than other smaller strap options out there, including some that were smaller and with less capacity, so I went with it. I’m very happy with how it has worked out for us.

This was an excellent replacement for the 20-year-old winch strap on the trailer for my 16′ skiff. Of course, it’s suitable for a much larger boat, too. The strap is a first class product with a very heavy-duty hook. Note the comparison to the old rusty one.

This looks like a good quality webbing strap, with the fabric very similar in texture and thickness to a safety seat belt in a vehicle, and the ends are well stitched down in long overlaps with v-shaped back stitching to secure them. The hook is robust and feels like it’s pretty heavy duty. There’s only a hook on one end.Can this survive the elements? My guess is that it’s just as susceptible to sunlight degradation and rust as any synthetic webbing and zinc-coating would be. The listing doesn’t state anything that would make it different, like UV stabilizers or specific alloys. Time will tell. It feels durable but no more so than is typical. Can this really hold 3,300lbs working load? Maybe. But I have several tow straps rated to less than that, but which are far thicker and have much more reinforcement, and heftier metal hooks, so I’m not inclined to trust it quite that far. Certainly not on a routine basis! I’m even more skeptical because they don’t have the required labeling and printing of the weight test or rating on the strap itself. But is it a good, strong tow strap? Yes, and for a good price. It rolls up amazingly compact and stores in a glove box or emergency kit, so I think it makes a great choice for an emergency tow strap or backup, something that only comes out to play when normal options have failed–none of my thicker, more traditional tow straps could fit inside an emergency box in the boat, and it’s a good thing to have on hand, because when you need it, you really need it. So I’m going with 4 stars on this one, for a strong strap and tow hook that can fit in a small space and serve in an emergency. If you’re looking for something that’s going to see use frequently and get pushed up near that 3k pound working limit, I’d look elsewhere.

This strap spools onto my winch easily and seems dura. it is quite functional as it wraps around the housing and the thickness is just right. I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it 😎Helpful? I hope so✔️ Thanks!

This is a nice rugged and strong strap with a much better quality than most of my tie downs. I got this for use with my tractor and towing/moving things around and it has worked perfectly. It has a 6 ton rating, not sure I would try that, but it is a nice strap with quality stitching.

seems like good quality. i did not get the gloves, i thought it cane with them? maybe that was another listing. i like the blue, an easy maintenance item to avoid issue at the ramps, my old one has a tear in it.
