Even enclosed trailer ramp doors will suffer from this issue. The traditional fix has been scavenging pieces of wood to stick under the end of the car loading ramps or trailer door to decrease the approach angle. Some will go as far as making dedicated (but heavy) wooden trailer ramp extensions with angled approach cuts and boards screwed or bolted together. A better solution is the lightweight molded trailer ramp extensions from Race Ramps. These trailer ramp extensions reduce the approach angle, are light and easy to carry, and are a much safer solution than various pieces of scrap wood. The one issue, however, is where to store these car loading ramps in the trailer when not loading or unloading your vehicle. Bought this for my enclosed trailer to store my ramps. The ramp holder looks good and holds the ramps tightly. Fits like a glove! However, it will not bolt directly into wall frames or studs on 16 inch centers or a multiple like 32 inches. Most trailers and even home stud walls are spaced on 16 inches centers. Please make the flange mounts 1.5 inches wider on each side so it can be mounted on a 32 inch spacing, 29 inches doesn’t work. I had to construct a subframe in order to mount it to my trailer frame (my white vinyl paneling is too thin). Otherwise it would have been a 5star review.
