Reamer was to big for the bushing but they corrected the problem with larger bushings.

I rebushed primary 5/16 kit flute drill bit shaft and bushings slip right in with my fingers, had to epoxy them in to hold!I use the 3/8 repair kit and it worked perfect!

The bushing included in the kit are the wrong size for the reem. The bushings fit the shaft, but are too small for the hole the team made.

The special drill bit became dull after one use even with tap oil to protect the inferior metal from the Made in China crap that everybody sells now. I will look for a replacement made in Japan or maybe Germany that is made by real Germans!

Speedy delivery, well packaged. Reamer came in it’s own protective sleeve case as well as the bushings themselves were also in a nice neat well pack plastic clip box. Overall impressed despite the previous negative reviews for the cost of the kit.As for the installation, I would suggest making sure the chuck of whatever drill you use is straight and true as possible for this job. I would also suggest pre drilling the hole for the throttle shaft in the normal forward position of the reamer first, the reamer is tapered at the front end of the bit to start a bevel in the hole which is what I did, then installed the bit rearward in reverse drill direction to finish boring it out. Worked and cut well, bushings were tight enough O.D. to tap lightly into new bores with a long bolt and washer. I also used lock-tite for extra insurance. My original primary throttle shafts fit tight and right now. I installed these on my mid 80’s Quadrajet primary throttle shaft and am very pleased to have extra bushings for future jobs.

The 3/8” one I bought worked great, but this 5/16” one had issues. It drills fine, but then the brass piece that’s supposed to tap in just loosely fall in and drops right out. I had to job weld it in place and cross my fingers. Again, no problems with the 3/8” kit but this one is not great.

The bushings fit the shaft great. But the reamer is to big for these bushings. The bushings had to be “glued” in.
