Right To Repair

We encourage customers to perform their own repair work if enjoyable to them! We offer DIY repair components so customers won’t need to ship their instrument clusters and climate controls out for repair and can avoid expensive repair and replacement costs.

I’ve used Tanin twice for my Ridgeline speedo cluster issues. Tanin is was a cheaper solution, but both times I’ve had issues. I won’t talk about the first problem, but I will about the odometer replacement. It was easy enough for me to install an seemed to work as I started up the truck, but as I drove around I noticed that the odometer display would flicker if I hit a bump on the road. I’m not an electrician, but it seemed like a bad connection/short would be causing this issue. I contacted Tanin about the problem, expecting them to tell me to send it back for a replacement/refund, but instead the customer service rep. said she would ask a tech about it and get back to me. She contacted me and told me the tech said that I should send in my whole cluster in so they could test if for a a $100+ service charge. Not wanting to pay for shipping the cluster and testing charge, I decided to take the cluster apart again and check the odometer connection. It was seated Well in it’s position but the prongs were not making a tight connection in their socket. I took out the odo. display and slightly tweaked the prongs so they might make a better contact. That seemed to work because after I re-installed everything the flickering on impact stopped. If Tanin is making these replacements, they should recheck the prong position on these displays, and if a customer has an issue with it, they shouldn’t ask them to spend more money on an issue that is the company’s problem.

The LCD display got here quickly after it was ordered.. Travel all the way across the country during Christmas shipping. Was impressed how quickly we got it. Fairly easy to install. The instruction videos were very helpful perit’s a very helpful. They did omit a couple of steps But it was fairly easy to figure out what needed to happen to remove the cluster, install the LCD, reinstall the cluster. New LCD works beautifully. No more flickering and flashing to put the driver into seizures. If you’re a Honda Ridgeline LCD is not working, highly recommend these guys.

I had a freezing issue where my odometer and trip mileage would just freeze on screen but after I’d turn the car off and come back, it would work again. And even my reset button still worked. Then I got the crazy looking hieroglyphics for the first time more recently.I replaced my old one with this unit and now everything works great!Tip: there is a plastic film on the glass you want to peel first. It isn’t soft like some protective film, so I almost didn’t think it was a film, but it had light scuffing, so I tried extra to peel it from the edge. Just FYI.

Great product fixed my flashing led display and it’s more clear and brighter. Highly recommend instead of buying a used/new cluster.

I recently purchase this item. I’m completely satisfied with the product it worked as advertised. It was easy to install, first looked at youtube video. The entire repaired did not take more than 45 min. Just take your time taking the dashboard apart. Highly recommend the company and product.

First off, it’s easy to replace; pull off snap in steering wheel bezel, unscrew 4 screw on plastic odometer bezel, unlock a few electrical pugs by hand kinda tricky but if you adjust the steering column, you are able to remove the plastic odometer. Unhook the snap in plastic glass from the odometer. Carefully remove the lightly glued on and paper thin black casing. Carefully unhinge the small/thin digital meter and replace the new recently bought meter. Try to align the male six pins with the corresponding six female pins. I ended up gluing the thin black plastic back onto the odometer instrument panel. Replace plastic odometer bezel, then the entire unit into the truck making sure you lign everything correctly back into the truck’s instrument bezel, replace the for screws, snap on the vehicles outer plastic bezel. Sometimes, you may have to shift the steering wheel and shifter into the drive gear or even lower, so make sure the emergency break is on and working. My vehicle went from a flashing odometer to a blank odometer to a crystal clear and bright odometer and instrument panel. It’s only been one day. It’s winter in Portland, OR and if things change, I will update. This could have cost hundreds of dollars to have fixed/replaced. Instead, it took about an hour to fix and $100 for the new odometer. Just be careful and meticulous about how you handle the new odometer/install. The less touch, the better

I ordered for this LCD display screen for my 2008 Honda Ridgeline about two weeks ago. It arrived nicely packed and appears to be quality product. It is exactly like the OEM. I followed the instruction and carefully installed as directed. Unfortunately, it only worked for a few hours and the flickering came back. It appears this one I was sent has got problems. I will be contacting the Tanin Auto and then will update my rating. For now I’ll keep it at 2 stars.
