I order one of these to replace my old one that quit. It arrived I installed it it sounded like a jet plane and vibrated terribly but heated. I returned it and Amazon replaced it. This one I installed turned it on it was quiet and heated so I turned it off being very happy we had a heater again. That evening when it got chilly I turned it back oh and it made a terrible noise like the fan motor was stuck and it did not heat. I am now leaving for a week so will deal with it when I get back. The worst part is that it is difficult to get the heater in and out of the spot it goes in and there is not compensation for my labor. So what I am saying is if you order one of these be prepared to go through a couple before you get one that runs.

It replaced an older furnace and is actually more efficient. Great product

Poor initial quality of the turbine fine appears to be out of round and unbalanced causing noise and vibration. Nobody is sleeping while this is running. To correct the turbine wheel will have to be replaced which is a project since the furnace will have to be uninstalled and partially disassembled to replace the turbine wheel.

After reading several other reviews mentioning problems with the blower fan impacting its housing, I energized the unit to test fan operation before it was installed. Despite the shipping carton being in perfect condition and the external casing of the furnace itself showing no signs of damage, the blower fan was so out of alignment it wouldn’t even turn. It’s not an unsolvable issue, but if the unit had been test run at the manufacturing facility, there shouldn’t be an issue at all. Choices for this type of RV furnace are limited, so if you choose to buy the Suburban unit, beware that your unit may need some rehabilitation before installation due to shoddy manufacturing quality control.

While inhave installed these for years, suburban has horrible packaging. 7 out of 9 furnaces dented and out of balance. Check blower wheel before install

During a severe cold spell, my P-40 furnace quit and could not be repaired. I then immediately (per Tech) ordered this from Amazon w/2 day delivery. It arrived after 6 days (there was some weather for 1 day). When it was removed from the box, the furnace cover was bent, and Tech could easily tell that there must have been an attempted install and then returned prior to me receiving it. Tech could not get it to run other than a huge grinding noise. I returned it to Amazon and was able to get a refund. I had to order another one (different supplier) adding another 2 weeks to being w/o a furnace. This was a piece of junk and as mentioned above, it must have been returned faulty and then reshipped to me as new.

Box with tamper tape had been cut and taped over. Some of the knock outs had been knocked out.I should have returned immediately and ordered another, my bad for that.Quit heating after 2 months. Beyond return window, will pursue limited warranty with manufacturer.Furnace only comes on when manually adjusting thermostat, it clicks a couple times, but no heat, then after a bit shuts off.Seller is listed as Chevrolet. Clicked link and was directed to website regarding financing contacts for cars.While chatting with Amazon rep, the link changed to now got to Chevrolet store, but still no contact info.I would suggest clicking on Seller link for whichever buying option you are looking at.Amazon directed me to Suburban website, which I will try.I will not be choosing this seller again.After paying several hundred for installation and now this, not the great deal I thought I had.
