The relay I received does not look the same as the one shown in the pictures. It may be the same internally, but on the outside, they are very different. So in reviewing this, I can only review what I received and I do not know how close that may be to what is in this picture.Instead of having the 1/4″ spade terminals for the coil (as in the pic). What I received has small screws that would be for ring terminals to be attached to. According to the pics on this page, the large terminals where the battery and motor connect are marked. What I received did not have any markings at all other than where it says DC12V. I had to ohm out the posts to see which one did what. That said, I really do not understand why manufactures can’t make just a little effort and label connections/posts. If you wire it wrong and cause damage to this or your device you are controlling…you will be at fault for wiring it incorrectly.After I ohmed this out, I took a black and red marker and colored the battery terminal posts. I did not mark the coil terminals, but the center is (-) and the ones to each side are (+). One for each of the two coils. They could have easily marked all this saving the customer from potential costly repairs and or even personal injury. And certainly a lot of uncertainty. This is frustrating!Finally, I tested it on my bench and it worked well. With proper labeling, I would have given this 5 stars, but if they can’t be bothered to label connections, I can’t be bothered with more than 3 stars.

While the product description does have a terminal layout diagram it is of little use because the terminal layout on the relay I received is totally different. It appears that the product description is for different relay than what is being sold.Update: After multiple back and forth messages, they finally sent the correct terminal layout. With that I was able to get the solenoid working with a Badlands winch. Picture attached. Upgraded rating to 3 stars.

I’m in the process of mounting a winch on my utility trailer, and needed a high current relay for it, so I thought I would give this on a try. Excellent choice. This relay is well made out of good quality materials. Fit and finish are excellent. Perfect for controlling the 2000 pound capacity winch that I have. Highly recommend. 5 stars.
