What will happen if run dry excess 30′?
Try not run dry to prevent motor burning. Although there is 30 seconds run dry protection. If run dry excess 30′, two outcomes will happen: 1. the overheat protection will intervene and suspend the work; 2. The motor circuit will be burned.
-
How to avoid leakage?
Before using, please ensure that the connecting pipe, dirt outlet, bundle port and valve are in good condition without looseness and leakage to avoid dirt splashing out cause the pump runs at high speed after working.
-
How to deal with high dense waste water?
If the waste water is too dense, it can be diluted slightly at first, then it can pump faster and more effectively.
-
Why should be aware of napkin, rags or hairs?
These would wrap around the grinder blades and slowly raise the motor resistance and finally burn out the pump.
-
How much sewage can this machine pump at a time?
Under the best condition, a single use is 20-30 minutes, pumping about 30 to 40 gallons at a time. In high temperature environment, it heat up quickly and may overheat in a shorter time, and might stop in shorter time for overheating protection

I pump out to a takeaway tank on my truck. I wanted a pump with 3 inch input to get faster emptying of black tank. Fitted well. Only 12 amps. I extended the power lead to reach my truck battery and used alligator clips to attach. Used the supplied switch but added a fuse holder with 10 amp blade fuse. (I dont use the cigarette lighter as that is low amps).Would prefer to have heavier wires on pump to carry the power load over a distance, and prefer a 20amp pump for load.Fresh water input is good for priming pump and even better for flushing out system.I am in New Zealand and international delivery was quick and I was kept advised on package progress.

This review is for the Ristow 12V macerator pump. I purchased the pump on prime day and got a great deal. It was shipped very promptly. Everything you need comes in the box except for a hose. You can use any hoes you want I was using a 5/8 hundred foot hose. The pump itself seems very sturdy and I believe the housing over the motor is metal instead of plastic like most of the other ones, which is nice. I was very impressed while using it and it made dumping the black water tank a lot easier and I now dump it at home instead of along the freeway or at a gas station. It was really convenient to just pull up to my house and dump it. It emptied the tank in less than five minutes. It says it has a 10 foot lift but I was lifting the hose over my head with a board about 12 to 13 feet and it was still pumping good. You can dump it directly into your sewer or run it through a window into your toilet. Nothing leaked at all. Very easy to clean and It came with a bag for all the accessories. If you do a lot of RVing, I highly recommend it. I wish I had bought one of these years ago!

This pump did a great job pumping out my black tank so I could flush it and clean it after a trip. It attached with no problem and pumped the tank out with no issues. The pump was quick and quiet and no leaks or problems. It came with everything needed to attach it and pump out the waste. I would definitely recommend it.

I set this up to pump out the waste tanks in our 40 ft. fifth wheel camper. We occasionally driveway camp in our camper. Even attached to 100 ft black garden hose it seemed to pump fairly well. The only thing I can say is – I thought was odd is when I first hooked it up and plugged it in it didn’t sound like it was running. I disconnected all the electrical cables double checked everything hooked it back up and flipped the switch and it seemed to run slow at first. Eventually it picked up speed. I am not sure that this is normal? I will update this the next time I use it which will be spring. Otherwise it worked as intended.

Love how easy it was to setup as well as the length of power chord. This pump works great! I just replaced my more expensive pump with this one and this definitely performs as good or better.

Buying a class c and trading in my class a I noticed the class c black/grey tank drain is much harder to do. I bought this macerator pump and now its so easy and actually takes less time to empty.

I spent hours analyzing customer reviews of macerator pumps for my diesel pusher RV. My most important criteria was durability followed by pump power to handle solids. I looked at cheap pumps ($175). I watched hours of video reviews. The DC-powered 15 GPM Ristow pump stood out from all the rest and was mid-priced to boot. I have used it three times now to empty my 45 gallon black tank and 70 gallon gray tank. I macerated and pumped the black tank contents through a 15 foot 5/8″ diameter garden hose and up a rise of about 4 feet into a blue boy tank in the back of my Jeep. Once, the tank contents were near freezing temperature. The Ristow handled it great. Yes, it bogged down in speed when it hit some significant solids, but it never stopped and the motor case never even warmed up. The fresh water connection worked great to flush the pump internals. I especially appreciated the long electrical line connection and built-in on/off switch. I pumped the gray tank out through garden hose a distance of about 50 feet (No rise). Again, no problem. I highly recommend this macerator pump for your RV!
