2017 Mazda CX 5 fit form and function work perfectly! We’ll see how it lasts

There’s a TSB from Mazda which states both the coupling and the differential have to be replaced. However, after taking mine apart, I found the differential was ok and only the coupling was bad. This part fit perfectly and saved me over $1,000 in part costs. Noise is gone and the 4WD light is off. Yes the part is made in China and only time will tell how long it will last, but for the part cost savings, I’m willing to give it a try.

Don’t understand the price tag for what this unit is, cheap reluctor ring, bearing, housing – not sure what’s $400. Not even any gears or heavy yoke. Its a common failure point and easy money maker I guess. For this money you’re halfway to a full rebuild on a full size pickup rear end.

Just as expected, fit like a glove. Price as opposed to OEM 1/4 the price.
