This is a fun and useful propane torch. It fits a standard 16-ounce propane canister; the back states that an adapter is necessary for other sized tanks, but the adapter is not included.I was able to get it going fairly quickly. Turn the fuel dial to low and press the igniter until you get a flame, then turn it up as needed. The insert states not to run it for more than 2 minutes at a time. The body is plastic, but the flame nozzle is all solid metal.When turned to maximum, it roars like a mini jet engine and produces a decently sized flame. I used this to start a charcoal grill, but I can imagine this would work well for clearing weeds or other household fire needs.I wish there were more details about any safety features present in this torch, but provided it is being used by adults, with a fire extinguisher nearby, I think this is a fun little tool.

The gun itself looks like something a Storm Trooper would have, super cool. I’m going to compare this to the Grill gun that I have. The price of this gun is $75 and the Grill Gun is $179.PROS:The propane tank screws into the gun easier then the Grill gunThis gun is 800,000 BTU’s, Grill gun is only 400,000.Does not need a stand like the Grill Gun. The propane tank functions as a stand, very stable.CONS:No handle trigger for FULL FLAME, have to use the control knob on top to adjust flame.Barrel not very long, your hand has to be closer to the source you want to light.Contains more plastic then the Grill gun.For the price this Torch Gun is definitely a WINNER. I will say this, I will probably continue to us the Grill gun for lightening grills, Weber and Big Green Egg. But for starting fires in the Solo Stove or firepit this does the job with ease and is easier to pack and transport for camping.

If you didn’t get The Boring Company’s ‘Not A Flamethrower’, this is probably the next closest thing, though when compared to the Boring Company’s device, this has a hotter and more focused flame. It’s essentially a roofer’s propane torch wrapped up in a plastic gun-shaped housing. The description mentions using it for cooking or dabbing, and I would suggest that this device is entirely too large to use for most cooking applications, and would not recommend using it for smoking. It is wholly sufficient for lighting grills, camp fires, fire places, bonfires, or burning off weeds in a driveway or sidewalk.The device is mostly plastic, except for the torch end which is metal. The trigger functions as the piezo ignition and the flame can be adjusted with a rotating knob on the top. Following the directions and using the lowest amount of gas possible, the device always ignited on the first trigger pull. It was easy to wield even with a 1lb propane tank attached. Definitely a fun accessory if you’re frequently lighting fires.

This thing is nuts!Not an actual flame thrower ( as in it doesn’t spew burning liquid on targets ), but this thing is ABSOLUTELY NOT A TOY.When I first received it I nearly tested it out in my kitchen… but quickly thought better of that.Moving outdoors, the torch lit up on the first trigger pull. My main beef with this unit is the fuel regulator- it’s a loose knob with no definite on or off… it’s just labeled ” + …. – “The flame it puts out is insane. Like an industrial torch. You certainly won’t be using this for creme brulee. It’ll light up a charcoal grill in seconds, though, and makes quick work of sidewalk weeds and pests.Just be aware: The fuel regulator is pretty crap. Turning the unit on its side while in operation can result in unexpected random bursts of flames shooting well past the constraints of your settings.
