Permatex Super 300 Form-A-Gasket Sealant is a non-hardening sealant designed to resist heat transfer fluids such as oil or antifreeze. Temperature range -65 degree fahrenheit to 400 degree fahrenheit, resists antifreeze, aviation fuels, high-detergent oils and lubricants. When a chemical gasket is not an option, Permatex offers a wide range of gasket sealants suitable for applications on both import and domestic vehicles of any model year or performance caliber.

This stuff was recommend on several blogs that I looked at for replacing seals . It helps to set the seal in place and helps to seal the edges. I will keep using this from now on when I go the change a seal.

I use this for head gaskets and it works great!I purchased online because I couldn’t find it ANYWHERE in store. Not Napa, advanced, auto zone, or anywhere else I called/looked. They only had the ” aviation ” version but, I like this stuff because its thicker and doesn’t begin to cure as fast.

Applied a thin Permatex 300 coat prior to the installation of a new Ford 4.6L intake manifold around the cylinder head coolant ports; and, the plastic intake coolant ports. The aluminum cylinder head coolant ports did not have any serious pitting.After several engine cycles, several miles driven, no leaks or problems whatsoever.I am a D.I.Y., therefore, use this product at your own discretion.

Nothing beats Permatex sealers especially on auto and truck engines. I used it to help seal my water pump and thermostat housing gaskets on my old tractor. No problems and it is a good value even in today’s markets.
