The Park-Daddy is a precision vehicle parking system for home garages. Using infrared technology, advanced optics and innovative software techniques the Park-Daddy uses the same technology and quality as our commercial systems. The Park-Daddy will notify the driver while parking in the garage, that they have cleared the garage door opening allowing the maximum amount of space in the front of their car while minimizing wasted space behind the vehicle eliminating damage to your vehicle or valuable items stored in your garage. The Park-Daddy has two Infrared Head Units that mount to the garage walls just inside the garage door opening by using our peel off mounting tape or can be mounted with two screws for easy removal. The system requires four D-size batteries that last for up to one year or more. The system also comes with one RF Radio Receiver that conveniently plugs into a car’s cigarette lighter power port. The RF Radio Receiver will sound with an adjustable tone and a “red” LED will illuminate when the infrared beams are broken. As soon as your car clears the garage door opening, the sound will stop and the LED will change to “green” notifying you that the car has cleared the beam and it is safe to park the car at that possession, leaving the maximum amount of room in front of your vehicle. I have a VERY tight space in which to squeeze my car in my home garage. To maximize the space at the back of my garage, I need my car to be as close as possible to the garage door when I pull in. I always have to get out and look at least once (sometimes twice) to make sure I am clear of the garage door before turning my car off.I have tried many other parking aids to help me simplify my daily parking nightmare, but they have all come up short. Looking to see if lines are matched up, or trying to determine if a laser is hitting the same spot on my hood or dashboard every time is, quite simply, not specific or reliable enough…they leave too much room for error. I was off a half inch with one of those products and the result was my garage door leaving a deep scratch down my rear bumper from top to bottom.I knew there had to be a better product on the market that would take the guesswork out of parking my car…I just needed to find it! Thankfully, I came across the Park Daddy. Honestly, as soon as I watched their promotional video, which described how their product worked, I instantly knew that I had found the solution I had been seeking for so long! It was unlike any other product on the market, using infrared technology that creates an invisible beam, at the precise location of your choice, just inside your garage door. When you raise your garage door and begin to pull in, your vehicle breaks the invisible beam and immediately triggers a red light and an audible alert via an RF Radio Receiver that plugs into your car’s cigarette lighter. The moment your vehicle clears the invisible beam, the red light turns green, the beeping stops and, most importantly, your car is in the perfect spot…every time!I received my Park Daddy on a Thursday, and was preparing to install it on the following Saturday. I had a simple question about the item so I called their Customer Service number and left a message. Exactly five minutes later, Mr. Paul Weiner, the Owner & CEO, returned my call…ON A SATURDAY…who does that?!?! He couldn’t have been nicer, and he took as much time as I needed, answered my question, and my installation was quick and easy. The two “Infrared Head Units” are easily mounted on both sides of your garage walls, just inside the garage door (either by adhesive pad or included anchors and screws.) Determining the exact height and distance from the garage door is very easy using the instruction manual and handy mounting template that is included with each system.The Park Daddy has worked flawlessly! It truly solved a major, DAILY, frustration for me and has exceeded my expectations. Combine that with their first class Customer Service and you have, as my title states, the absolute BEST garage parking aid on the market! A big “thank you” to Mr. Weiner and his team at Invis-a-Beam for creating such a wonderful product!

The product looks like it will be exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately there was a problem with the receiver. I contacted the supplier who immediately asked for pictures which I provided in a couple of days. After 3 weeks I sent an email and then had to call – and wait almost 3 minutes to get past all the prerecorded messages before getting someone. This should have been a simple case to resolve (replace the defective receiver) but Brian in customer service seemed to be MIA in taking action.
My Two Cents –
Purchased this for my 85 year old mom. She has a refrigerator at the end of her garage and has to get close to it in order for the garage door to close. I was able to just stick-up the sensor units using the supplied double sided tape and they are holding strong on the drywall in the garage. The receiver unit (in the car) gives an auditable and visual alarm when the beam is broken; it’s installed in a 12V power outlet / traditional cigarette port. When my mom drives into the garage, the alarm sounds (light goes on too) until the back bumper of her car clears the beam. The receiver unit in her car basically lets her know when the garage door can be closed, without hitting the back of her car and leaves enough room so she can open up the refrigerator. It works well for my mom and it was easy for me to install.

Perfect product for its intended application. Simple and fast install, don’t even need to drill holes. Very accurate. Note: My setup (a very busy combo workshop & detached garage) has some permanent obstructions along one wall that required the unit on that side be mounted about 6″ lower than the other. Made no difference at all, still works perfectly, so don’t worry much if one of them needs to be a bit higher or lower than the other. Also: Keep in mind when “precision parking” that most cars/trucks will roll back a few inches on a level surface after you shift to park and take your foot off the brake – so either use the parking brake every time (a pain), or compensate for any slight rollback by going an inch or two further forward AFTER the green light on the dashboard unit comes on, assuming you have an inch or two available in your parking space. The only improvement I could possibly suggest would be some miniaturization. The transmitter and receiver are pretty bulky for a modern electronics device.

Edit: contacted Invisabeam and they sent me a replacement receiver after I provided proof of purchase. Will update again when this one arrives and hopefully works for an extended period of time.It’s easy to install and does the job but the receiver doohickey thing that sounds the alarm in the car stopped making noise after ONE WEEK. The red/green lights work, but unfortunately the receiver is not located in a visible spot in my car so the lights are insufficient.I’m past the return window or I’d send it back. As it is, I will order a new receiver (no wonder they sell them separately…what a racket) and hope it lasts longer than the first one.
