I didn’t want to buy one of these kits because they go for 60 to 120 dollars for some reason. It’s priced high for no reason, the same one for a jeep Wrangler sells for 20$. But it plugs right in the way it should with my tail lights and wires.

This unit is a straight forward install. Easy plug and play. I also tied the hot wire into the 12v plug in the cargo area of my Renegade Trailhawk. This makes this install a snap. Not sure why they don’t include that option in the directions.

I bought this for my hitch for the jeep renegade and it worked out perfectly. It’s probably a little cheaper than getting it at U-Haul.

I purchased this product less than 1 year ago and am now having an issue. The trailer lights just stay on. I have tested the voltage with my meter and it appears the issue is in the controller box. I have the correct voltage/signal on the wires coming into the controller, but the wires coming out all have 12v so the light are basically acting like the brakes are on. All the time…Does Mecmo have a warranty?

Did niot work for me on my 2015 Jeep. However…it is made good and Zim sure it would work on other vehicles.For some reason…2015 Jeeps are not compatible.

I installed this on a 2016 Jeep Renegade. The instructions were clear and exact. I didn’t remove the side panels I just snaked the wires up. Took all of 1 hour to install. Also on the drivers side in the Renegade there was a fuse block that had an empty slot. I checked and it was hot to the key switch so tapped into it there. Saved running the hot wire all the way to the front……

Installation is straightforward but not particularly “easy”. The issue for me was not the harness, but my vehicle did not have the same ports as the YouTube video for installation. It functions as it was intended to and looks like an aftermarket add on.
