W. Franklin –
My 2003 Chevy S10 4.3 truck had a check engine light and a code for the canister vent valve solenoid. I ordered the MAYASAF 911-648 Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid Valve fit for Chevy S10 and it came quickly. It was a direct fit and works great. I cleared the code and no more check engine light! The hardest part of changing was getting the hose off the old one, and then getting it off the bracket. If you slip something the thickness of two hacksaw blades between the old vent valve and the bracket it will push a little metal tab away far enough to slip it off the bracket. Putting the new one on is a breeze.

Part was relatively easy to install, just a little cumbersome due to its location under the truck. Only needed a flat head screwdriver to remove wiring and mounting. Hardest part was getting the molded vacuum line off. Several videos available if you’re DIY. Working great and fixed check engine light code for evap leak in my case (tried new gas cap first but that didn’t fix it this time).
