Wendy Dye –
I have a high compression 350 in my Malibu with a th400 and this cranks the engine perfectly, starts by the second crank every time. Looks good
stuart bastian –
Didn’t even have it in for a month and it stopped working
Mike Brown –
It was little difficult since didn’t come with instructions
Hot Rod Tom –
The is a very good quality mini stater for a Chevy SBC. On my application I had to use the shims to space the started motor further back from the mounting block to get the space needed from the flex plate. I also had to use both shims to space the starter assembly low enough to get the paper clip spacing between the tooth of the starter and teeth on the flex plate. The starter works well, engages and disengages correctly. I have installed a heat shielding blanket over this mini starter, and wrapped the exhaust pipe to reduce heat soak which killed the previous standard sized OEM starter. The engine bay on my 1966 Chevy II Nova is very tight and heat buildup is an issue. Hopefully all this work will pay off so the starter can live a long life.
Justin J Collins –
