Just a guy –
I have a 2003 F250 with the ZF 6 speed manual that is well used. I don’t know how many times it’s been taken apart but the whole shifter boot assembly is trashed which lets a lot of noise into the cab.This is an exact replacement shifter boot which includes the white structural plastic piece on the bottom as well the mounting screws. It’s my understanding that the plastic piece is critical for keeping the noise out of the cab.Install was easy and very straightforward. There are plenty of tutorials online to help a person if they need it. Everything went together well and a test drive shows a greatly reduced engine and road noise level in the cab. And it looks much better than my original.Highly recommended.
