I installed this kit on my bike with help from a YouTube video because good god are the instructions this thing comes with in GOD AWFUL Engrish (yes that spelling is intentional). All seemed well until I went to start it, no luck. After some screwing around and fixing some of my own mistakes (carb was flooded with pure 2-stroke oil, whoops!) I used a drill on the crank nut to spin it over. It REALLY didn’t want to run, but after playing with the throttle and choke a little, it finally came to life on its own.During my first ride, the chain popped off the sprocket, which locked up and in turn bent the rear wheel (my fault, tensioner wasn’t tight enough), which also caused the engine to stall. A transport from a friend with a bike rack and a new rear wheel later, I went on a second test run, and no matter how steep of a hill and how fast I went, the engine just outright refused to start. On top of that, the engine seemed suspiciously weak. At full throttle it was barely able to move under its own power. At this point I can’t really give a rating because there’s so many variables at play. What if there’s still oil gumming up the carb? What if the coil isn’t creating a strong combustion? What if using the drill on the crank nut caused some internal failure? I’ve heard these things can go up to 20-30mph, so it’s gotta be something I did wrong.3 stars because it’s the closest thing to a neutral review I can give. I will be reaching out to this company in hopes I can troubleshoot or replace the parts that need it.
