This product is actually what it say it is nothing more, nothing less. If you’re buying as a replacement or extra key the you must have it cut at a dealership. Which can almost often equal to what they would have charged anyway. I brought it just to replace my buttons on my key and that worked out great. So, if you need a replacement key, I would definitely call around and get pricing before ordering and see what best for you before ordering and if it save you some money it will definitely be worth it.

The new key is physicall shorter than the old key by a few mllimeters. Had key cut by hardware store. Replaced Internal electronics. Key will start car but it shuts off after 4 seconds and will not start. I can start vehical with old key (while holding new key with “old” electronics) and car will start with no problem. Belivee the problem is due to the new key being slightly shorter in length.

It is cheap but you need to cut the key by yourself and poor quality.

They work like they are supposed to.All I need now is to have the key blank cut.

The fob works fine – I just put everything from the old fob into this one and it works like a charm. However, I also got the key cut since I figured I could use an extra one. I went to test it and it killed my battery (temporarily – it was fine later but it took about thirty minutes for it to be okay). I believe the reason was although the key looked similar to the one for my car, it was not exact. I use it exclusively to lock or unlock my doors now. If that’s all you need, then I recommend this product.
Franjam –
Works great. Fits the correct fob. I changed my battery and misplaced a button cover. This was the exact replacement.

If you’re buying this specifically to swap the buttons, don’t. The buttons are not swap-able because they don’t fit. I’d also recommend buying an official key fob from a Toyota dealer, because it would be cheaper and more reliable. If you’re looking to use this fob, you’ll have to pay at least $200 to get the chip programmed and the key duplicated. The plastic feels much cheaper than the original and the whole fob completely breaks apart with a single 3ft drop.
