JENOLITE Universal Etch Primer
Primer for difficult to paint surfaces
JENOLITE Universal Etch Primer spray is a specially developed formula to aid the bonding of paint to difficult surfaces such as aluminum, galvanized & stainless steel etc.
Once cured, this self-etch primer leaves a smooth, grey surface, perfect for over painting with a topcoat.
Suitable for a variety of surfaces is a fast-drying acrylic spray paint, suitable for priming a wide-range of metals, wood and plastic prior to top-coating.

How To Use
Remove all traces of oil or grease. Remove old paint and loose rust with steel wool or wire brush.
- ONLY USE IN WELL VENTILATED AREAS: Remove all traces of oil and grease with suitable degreaser. Remove old paint and loose rust with steel wool or wire brush. Shake the can well before use so that the agitator ball can be heard rattling. Spray the etch primer in smooth strokes from 15-30cm away. Coat the surface with a thin and even layer.
- ALLOW TIME TO DRY: Allow the product to dry for 30 minutes between coats. Also allow 24 hours to fully cure before applying a topcoat.
- STORAGE & REUSE: This aerosol should be stored out of direct sunlight and In temperatures below 122°F (50°C). To prevent blockages, Invert the can and spray for 2 seconds. For best results, use between 50°F and 77°F (10°C and 25°C). Extremes of temperature affect drying performance.

WowI paid $15 can for junk primer on a bear steal gate and 1.5 week later after follow the direction to a tee and the steal is starting to rust !! Will never buy again for 1/2 as much go with standard just go with stander primer Don’t waste you hard earned money

Use this as a base coat on galvanized steel (like conduit) – sticks well to the galvanized finish and then top coat with color needed to match surrounding paint. This is far more economical than other etching primers I have used. Overall a great product. Wish Amazon would stock, as due to delivery time – but worth the wait.
