Important Notice About “Open Flow” Air Chucks
Open flow air chucks allow air to flow freely through the chuck, even when not engaged to the tire valve stem. Open flow air chucks can NOT be connected directly to the end of an air hose without first attaching to an inline tire inflator gauge. If you connect an open flow chuck directly to the end of airline without an inline tire inflator gauge, air will flow straight out and empty your compressor’s air tank. This air chuck must first connect to a compatible tire inflation tool that supports 1/4″ NPT threaded attachments, such as our FlowPro Tire Inflator Gauge series or similar tools that can open and close air flow from your compressor.
The thread specification of this chuck is female 1/4 inch NPT.

Every now and then you find a product that just works. It does exactly what it says it will do. Yeah it’s expensive but you get what you pay for. I bought these to build a better hose/chuck setup for my VIAIR 300P. Best air chuck I have ever used by miles and miles.

I am an old guy and stooping down and or kneeling is not fun for me. I had the kind where you hold down a lever, push it on, and then let go of the lever expecting it to hold it on the valve stem. If you are reading this, you probably know how well that works. A while ago I stumbled on one where you screw it on the valve stem. I eagerly bought it. At first it seemed great. It doesn’t leak or come off. The problem is that the threads have to be aligned perfectly or it won’t screw on. It took more bending and kneeling than my original one to get it on. Maybe a different brand would be better, I don’t know, but there don’t seem to be that many of that kind available. I really didn’t want to spend this much, and I really don’t need two, but I am glad I did. It really works amazingly well. Just push it on and it locks automatically. When you are done, push the little button and it comes off. It really is that easy. It seems to be made well and I don’t expect it to wear out quickly. Buy it. You won’t be sorry.
Buy Once, Cry Once –
This Jaco S2 series tire chuck is heavy duty and larger than I expected. The S2 series of this chuck includes a swiveling head, which is convenient. However, this chuck is very particular when latching onto the tire valve and often requires a few tries to get it to fit correctly.I am using this air chuck with a Milton 1/4″ NPT adapter (S-684-4) to fit as a quick connect chuck on my Dewalt 20V MAX Tire Inflator DCC020IB. The Jaco tire chuck fits well and does not leak when using two passes of thread tape. You must get a 1/4″ NPT adapter to fit this chuck with most portable tire inflators.You have to push this chuck hard into the tire valve and test that you have a firm lock, which I was usually not successful on the first try. Since this is an open flow, the air would just bleed out whenever I didn’t have a 100% perfect lock on the tire valve. It takes some getting used to in order to get the appropriate connection without letting air escape through. There’s an opportunity for this tire chuck to be improved/redesigned, but I can live with this for now.I have the JACO FlowPro gen 2 tire inflator with pressure gauge, and that tire chuck is much easier and more convenient than this standalone chuck.EDIT: I will say that JACO’s customer service reached out to me privately and went above and beyond with their service. I do genuinely believe they stand behind their products and everything I have owned from them has been built with quality. In the rare circumstance I was disappointed with one of their products, they made sure to assist and keep me a satisfied consumer of their brand.

Just got these in and tried them, I am very impressed. Just push on and it’s sealed, push the button and it comes off. No fiddling with it. Tried on both standard rubber tire stems and TPMS metal ones, work great on both. Time will tell if they hold up, but I am very happy so far. I got the S2 swivel version.

I was sceptical about the stuff I had readThese are what I have been looking for!Push on and they latch hard enough I suspect you could whirl the wheel above you if you had enough faith in the hose and your own strengthThey “pop” off with a simple push on the latch loosing hardly any airHoping they stay this way for a long timewas getting soooo frustrated with the “clips” that my inflators came with that would let go/go on at a bad angle and leak that I googled for a better solution – these got glowing reviews, and so far am glad I found them

I’ve connected the JACO Lightning S2-Series Tire Air Chuck to my Portable Air Compressor Pump, Digital Tire Inflator using an Air Inflator Adapter,1/4 NPT (m) to Standard Schrader Valve (M),Schrader Valve Adapter and makes tire inflation very easy.And to complete the set, I use JACO ElitePro Digital Tire Pressure Gauge – Professional Accuracy – 200 PSI, to check the tires pressure.
