  • Larger belts(17mm) show a tendency to push to the extreme edge of the flanged pulleys due to the slight misalignment of the motor and jackshaft from the factory. This tracking causes the belt’s outer edges to experience excessive friction, causing accelerated wear to the belt and pulley and, ultimately, premature belt failure.

    This is a pretty standard Surron belt. Works and sounds just like the stock belt. Supposedly the Gates GT4 belt is an upgrade but there isn’t much room for improvement from the stock belt. As long as it doesn’t snap, I have no complaints. The stock belt lasted me over 8000 miles so I expect this belt to outlast my Surron.
