Overview: The Pro Axle Bender is a fully adjustable Derby Car Axle Bender designed to give builders a wider range of bend angles. By simply adjusting the stop collar with a 3/32″ hex wrench, bend angles of 0.5° to 10° can be achieved for a wide range of tuning options. The tool features a blade & Fork design pivot for accurate tracking and Derby Worx’s exclusive “Bending Cup” which allows stainless steel & titanium axles to be correctly bent without adding a groove or notch at the desired bend point. The main shaft has 3 machined rings which when matched with our bending chart takes the guess work out of axle bending of axle bending and makes setting up your cars for a Rail Rider or a straight on alignment a snap! :

This is way too much money to spend on your kid’s cub scout car. Unless there’s a d-bag dad in the pack who keeps building his kid’s car and they both are the worst winners on the planet. Then it’s worth every penny to see that dad’s face get all red with anger. Some people may even find satisfaction when that dad’s kid cries about getting 2nd place (not me, that would be mean).

I’m new to pine wood derby. I’m helping my grandson. I read the directions. I put the axel in the slot and held my breath. I held tool as instructed and pulled up on the proper piece. It worked perfectly! It works so well that you can get away with not holding your breath. This tool seems kind of pricey but I figure I can sell it on EBay when I no longer need it.

Great product helped my son get second place at race. Only complaint is there are no marks for 1.5 and 2.5 degrees.

Like everything else, Over priced just because if is pinewood derby. Technically it works as advertised, but there aren’t enough measurements on the indicator so you have to guess to bend at 1.5 and 2.5 degrees which are the recommended degrees for rail rinding and bending the back axles for less friction. It would have been nice if they included these as standard bend points in the indicator. You have to guess at the 1/2 way point and because it is a slide, it is difficult to tell the 1/2 way point. Regardless this along with some other techniques helped my kids win some trophies.

Arrives pre-adjusted to 2.5* and works great.

This was my third year helping my children with their derby cars, and I am so grateful for this tool. It couldn’t have made it any easier, or faster to bend the axles perfectly.
R. Keller –
Easy to use but no guarantees you will win the race.

I’ve actually wanted this axle bender for a few years and never pulled the trigger. So glad I did.We have used a vice and a ball peen hammer in the past. Works ok. Does the job.But this axle bender gives you a precise bend EVERY TIME. I’ll never go back!
