ILM Motorcycle 3/4 Open Face Helmet DOT Approved
This ILM open face motorcycle helmet comes with a drop-down sun visor, an adjustable sun shield and a removable face mask. All the detachable accessories ensure the atv helmet meet all your requirements and make you look cool. These protective gears are very easy to remove and replace.
Note: The motorcycle helmet is designed to be a little snug to achieve noise reduction effect, so a larger size is recommended to buy if you want a little loose fit.
– Adjustable Sun Shield
Rotate the screws to slightly change the position of the shield according to your needs. It helps reduces the strain on your eyes while riding at the daytime.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HEAD SIZE
- Pass a soft, flexible tape, measure horizontally around your head at a height of approximately one inch (2.5cm) above your eyebrows (the largest measurement around your forehead).
- Select the helmet size that is closest to your head measurement from the sizing guidelines above.
NOTE:
If you have any size concerns, extra pads can be shipped to you for a better helmet fit.

Quick Release Buckle and Strap

The helmet is what it is. Its a $100.00 DOT helmet. Its lightweight and comfortable. Its noisy, no other way to put it. It’s a nice looking helmet. It would be nice to have a flip down internal sun shade. Looks awsome with the tinted visor, but it’s a pain to ride at night. Gotta flip it up, then wear clear eye protection. It came with a clear visor for night riding. I tried the whole, swap out lenses for day and night as needed. The mechanism that holds the lense in place is cheap and not user friendly, so its not as easy as some helmets are to swap lenses. I ride 60 plus miles a day. So I chose to run my tinted visor and wear clear lenses at night and it’s just not comfortable. This helmet isn’t designed to wear sunglasses while wearing the helmet. It could use some deeper ear pockets for speakers. Until your ears toughen up a little, they will get sore if your running speakers. For me it runs true to size. This helmet is well worth the money. I use it as my primary helmet and plan on buying another ILM helmet.Now here’s the positive!!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE. It took about 4 months to break this helmet in. Once broke in, it was a little loose. I contacted the company via Amazon customer service. Even though I had the helmet for 4 months, without hesitation, they sent me new cheek pads to help with a better fit. Well, they sent the wrong size. I contacted them again. No argument, no hesitation, they made it right. I’ve bought numerous items from Amazon. In my opinion, this company has probably the best customer service. Because of that, I am buying another helmet from them!!!!

The helmet is not too heavy (depending on the buyer). It looks very slick and cool. I am positive it is a very good product. The downside that I found was the size, it ordered a size L, my size. And, it was way too tight for me. All I can say is you’ll have to try it on and see if it works for you. After all we humans come in different sizes and shapes which sometimes are not compatible with the products we buy, even if they are excellent products.

I really like this helmet. It’s comfortable, stable and I have a bigger range of view with a slight blue tint that protects my eyes from the sun, but also I can see well at night. I love that you can take push the visor (not sure if that’s the right word) back into the helmet rather than it being over the helmet. It helps to keep it clean. I like the look of it and it’s pretty well ventilated as well as you have the option to close the little vents. The only thing that I will say negatively about it is, I had originally purchased my for my husband and it ended up being too small for him, despite it being their biggest size. Its not a terrible thing since I ended up keeping it lol. I’m assuming that’s why they have alot of people returning their helmets. I’m sure that most of those people just wanted to swap out the size. I like that it’s also DOT approved. It’s not super heavy and I like the fact that it look cool and fits well on me. To give you an idea. I’m 5’5 woman, normal head size and a little under 175lbs. Hope that helps.

This is a great helmet for the price. It looks so cool and yet is very comfortable and seems to fit well. I’m right in between the Medium and Large head measurements and I went with Large and it fits perfect!I’m using this for an escooter that doesn’t go more than 50 MPH. I don’t know if I would use this helmet for a motorcycle that goes a lot faster because the chin guard piece is not DOT certified. Although it’s a hard plastic piece which is nice (unlike some other helmets where the chin guard is totally flexible like Scorpion), so it should provide some chin/jaw protection, but not as much as the rest of the helmet. For escooter or ebike purposes or even a motor scooter, this helmet should be fine.I like how the shape of the helmet has some contours. Some other helmets are simply too round and bubble-like so you look like a mushroom or something. This helmet has a great shape to it. The chin strap with the release tab is just perfect also, no fooling around with a D-ring or anything like that.The flip up visor is great and super convenient to open and close. I keep the top cap part on the helmet all the time as it does provide some further shielding from the sun. This piece is adjustable and removable however and they even give you some plastic plug pieces so put in the holes.Wind noise is actually quieter than some other helmets I’ve tried, although it does start to get a bit noisy above about 45 MPH, unlike some full motorcycle helmets which can be almost totally silent at high speeds. Usually I’m not going super fast though so I barely even notice any wind noise.You tend to look quite intimidating with the tinted visor down and people can’t see your face. When I’m walking my scooter out of my condo (or back in) I tend to flip the visor up so neighbors can see it’s me and they won’t get scared. This is also good if you want to stop and talk to someone, or you can even remove the chin guard piece as it comes totally off. It’s a bit tricky to put back on while you’re wearing the helmet though it’s possible.In all, there probably is no such thing as a perfect helmet but for my needs, this helmet is nearly perfect, and at a great price!

This helmet straight up saved me from some REALLY rough injuries. I ride high speed electric scooters (the kind that REALLY move, 30+ MPH) and at one point got tossed over the handlebars going very fast. I landed very nearly face first in a pile of sharp rocks. I suffered zero injuries to my head and face – the rest of me was a little banged up, but not my head.It looks cool. It’s customizable (can take off the mouth guard, raise/lower the visor, etc). Easy to put on/take off and comfortable to wear. Lets a little air flow through so you’re not melting inside the helmet. The visor tint and sun shield help in bright conditions. It looks cool. And, of course, as mentioned, can REALLY come in handy in crash situations.Worth the price and as far as I can tell will keep you safe.
