Asked the dealer how much to replace this unit- since it was under the headliner they said $500 in labor alone. This part, a YouTube video and a half hour later, I have a dash compass that no longer annoyingly blinks at me nonstop.

This unit rectified my compass constant flashing problems. It allowed me to reset my compass and it now works as it should. Because of its location above the headliner, on my 2015 Pilot, it was quite difficult to replace.

I bought an used 2014 CR-V and the blinking on the screen.In the settings won’t let me access to the calibration modeAfter a video in YouTube how to replace it10mm socket and 20 min I did replace itIt took like 5-10 min of driving to calibrateOne thing I notice ( very late after I installed ) the module is 2 parts, the black that is jus a case and the blue is the actual compass, so you don’t need to take off the one in the car, the case has a clip and can take out the blue part and just switch to the one on the car , you can save lot of time and headache removing the screw .

I’m happy that this is an OEM Honda part. It was easy to install and so far it’s working great! No more flashing compass! If you have this problem order this part and search Youtube for videos on how to replace. It’s super easy!Good luck!

FINALLY, that annoying blinking compass is fixed. Fairly easy to install, use a 10mm socket to get the one screw out that holds the compass in place. Drove the car around in a circle a couple of times and voila…no more blinking compass.
