Using the Tesla cable and the adapter it will not charge my vehicle

I ordered a different adapter and plugged it in, it did not start charging immediately. We sent it back and ordered this one. Again when I plugged this in, it did nothing, I was upset and walked away, when I came back 10 minutes later it was working GREAT. In the description it does not say anything about a delay while it communicates with the Tesla charger, but it does take about 5 minutes for it to work. As long as you leave it plugged into the Tesla charger, the next time you plug in your car it will start up almost immediately, If you unplug it from the charger it will again take a few minutes to start up. So the key thing here is to plug it in and walk away, come back in 10 minutes, if it’s not charging then consider returning it but I can’t stress enough GIVE it some time to communicate with the charger.

Do not bother with this product it is way too slow you need to double check when buying one of these adapters to make sure it can do at least 10K

When ordering, I received a message indicating this adapter was a “high rate of return” item so I wasn’t optimistic that it would work, but I was pleasantly surprised. As you can see from the photo I provided, the NACS to J1772 adapter allows me to use my Tesla wall charger to charge my Lexus RX-450h+ very effectively. It stated a charge time of 2 hours 40 minutes compared to over 11 hours using the Lexus provided 120v charger. My Tesla Wall Charger is one of the older ones without Wi-Fi capability in case that matters. I did notice that although the wall charger is set up for 48 amp use, this adapter only pulls a little over 30 amps. It’s fast enough though. So far I’m very pleased with it.
