As other reviewers have said, FelPro has changed this product, it no longer includes the two tabs on each gasket which align with the notches in the valve cover. I had no choice but to use it anyway because in Australia gaskets for Honda v6 are very unfairly priced and this was the best option, so once it arrived I had to use it. I used RTV to seal the gap where the notches were, and also put a thin layer of RTV around the whole mating surface to try and make sure it doesn’t leak. Besides the missing notches the gaskets are thick and seem durable, and the set comes with everything you need for your valve covers.

So it was a challenge on my 04 TL, but it got done. 1st times are always the hardest. Wish I had a 8ft/96in – lb torque wrench but I did my best guess and so far, no leaks!I cleaned up the engine area really good so I can more easily spot anything new. Saved me $200 and I enjoyed doing it. Took about 6 hours for me. Hardest part was removing spark plug seals.The blue color of this high quality Felpro gasket is great too! Easy to check work before committing.Next project is replacing the vtec oil gasket and o-rings at the oil filter assembly. Going to reuse the original mesh screen in new rubber.

Pretty simple to get down to the valve covers. The thing that took me the longest was getting the old, almost plastic spark plug tube seals. I had to get a flat head and a hammer, and then I was able to get it out, luckily without damaging the aluminum. But no one told me the tube seals have metal in them, so I did get scared for a second. But it was easy to put the new seals in; I just dipped it in some motor oil and they slid right in. The gaskets looked pretty good and I do like the blue color so you can see if there’s any leaks better than the black OEM gasket.

It does not fit 2006 Honda Pilot Engine J35Z1’s rear valve cover where the gasket is not flat.
