The cap fits nicely but the small ring doesn’t fit over the “plug in” end so you need to attach it somehow or just cut off that portion of the cover and just use the cap.

One of my concerns around the head of my charger is that with the rain and snow will it start to develop rust. I bought this cover as a way to prevent potential rust formation. After each charging session, I have placed the cover over the head of the charger and it creates a nice seal over the charger resulting in protecting the head of the charger from the elements. Overall, I am really happy with how easy it was able to place over the charger and how well it works

I use a Tesla adapter on a J1772 charger and got this cap to protect the adapter plug when it’s left attached to the charge gun. The tail is long enough to attach to the cable and slip the cap over the extended charge plug. It holds tightly, keeping rain out.

My Tesla sits and is charged outside and I wanted to make sure the plug doesn’t get wet. Even though the mobile charger is rated for outdoor use I worry about rain water and fog moister ruining the electrodes since the charger is costly to replace and I found this sweet little cover to protect the plug. So far it has done its job. It seals keeping water and moister from building up during the rainy and foggy time of the year. It also does a great job keeping insects and dust out too. The cover is very easy to put on and off and it is shaped like the plug so there’s no gaps or buckling.
