Great product little tight putting covers back together but works great.

GM only sells complete electric liftgate unit. This replaces the weak point on the unit that strips. Much much cheaper way to fix. Liftgate now works. Make sure you replace the helper gas struts with GM OEM units from the dealer only. Aftermarket gas struts did not work properly and went through 2 manufacturers I tried. Detailed video instructions on Dorman website on how to do.

I had to return it as one side of the shaft is a little short and when you tighten everything down gear will not operate

It doesn’t measure out exactly like the oem part. Because of that, I had to remove and install the shaft bushing on the outside of the housing behind the gear. Then I used loctite to hold the gear retaining nut in place. I made it work.
