Don’t worry, our double-sided adhesive tape is very strong, if you find the adhesive is weak, you can heat the double-sided adhesive tape. Be careful not to let the product touch water or work in extremely cold temperatures after installation.

The molding is made of TPE which is a plastic I just recently learned about. It feels exactly like a rubbery plastic. It’s very tough and yet light weight. There is a textured look, yet it is thicker than I thought it would be. The 3M style double sided tape is a great adhesive as long as you remember to clean and dry the surface beforehand. Also, swab it with alcohol. Afterwards, let it cure overnight in clear weather. I think we shall see more and more panels manufactured for use as a low cost alternative to hide small dents and scratches while making your vehicle look cooler than ever. This new product will be as big as the universal spoiler or the car bra was. Completely bad a** armor. Buy it !!!

The xiphoid 2022, 2023, and 2024 Ford Maverick Rocker Panel Protectors should protect the door panels. However, I’m concerned that modern automotive paint tends to fade after about two years, and the paint behind these panels won’t fade, making a noticeable color difference if the protector panels are removed.I’m hesitant about using no-name double-sided tape, as some brands of tape are not paint-friendly. Before attaching the protectors, I’m replacing the double-sided tape that came with them with 3M double-sided tape that is specifically made for automotive paint.Lack of instructions, incorrect panel labeling, and double-sided tape that will more likely than not damage the vehicle’s paint turn this upgrade into a downgrade. The protector panels are costly, and I suggest that the manufacturer add a printed instruction sheet, standardize the labeling of the pieces, and use quality double-sided tape.Full Disclosure: I received this product for free from the Vine program. I like the look and feel of this product. Installation has to be spot on before sticking the double sided tape to the paint. Fits nicely, price isn’t bad for the quality.

I have to either leave a large gap in between the doors or not have protection and the end of the second row. A door ding a way more likely on the end of the door than the hinge so I choose that, leaving me with a large gap that doesn’t look good.
