Stainless steel, straight, solid, hefty. Seems very secure, tidy. Might look a little long on smaller receivers due to the lock only coming in one size. On the other hand it should fit all.

I just received it so i cannot attest to longevity but so far so good. I will update this in a couple months for that. seems strong. key works good. locking mechanism works good. comes with 2 keys. you can remove the key once its off.

This hitch pin bolt and lock arrived on time and new. It is an awesome item. Feels solid and the lock mechanism feels tight, with positive release and lock. U do have to hold the lock and then turn the key so it’s a two hand operation. I like that u don’t need the key to lock it, Just push on until it clicks. The dust cover is welcomed to key dirt and water out. I love that it’s both 1/2 and 5/8 shaft. Really pleased with it so far.

Plusses: Nice, thick metal; It would be very difficult to break the key in the lock and have it stuck in there (the key needs to be removed to lock it. Has a nice weatherproof cap.Minuses: It is FIDDLY trying to push the lock on the pin in a tight space, nearly under your vehicle, with hands that are arthritic; Lock was VERY stiff and key did not slide in on first use…(lubricate the lock and it will be OK)In all, the plusses outweigh the minuses…Just use care for the first few uses until you are acquainted with the fiddly bits.

What great lock! I have had this lock on my wife’s hitch for about 5 years. It locks an aluminum flipflop hitch cover. Its on practically 365 days a year. I unlock it from time to time since I have had previous locks rust and seize leading to being cut off by a mechanic. Highly recommend.
