Introducing your new partner in keeping your kids safe during car trips: The BuckleRoo Seatbelt Buckle Guard!

The BuckleRoo Seatbelt Buckle Guard’s patented unique design blocks small fingers from pressing the buckle release button during travel, keeping curious or mischievous kids from getting out of their seat and distracting the driver. Simply slip it over the buckle receptacle and connect the seat belt as you normally would. The BuckleRoo does not interfere with the actual latching of the seat belt and has been designed so even the smallest fingers cannot release the latch. Once you’ve arrived at your destination, stick your car key into the release slot and disconnect the belt. The BuckleRoo Seatbelt Guard features shatter-proof plastic construction and a built-in breakaway key for emergencies.

Designed with children with emotional or cognitive disabilities in mind, the BuckleRoo provides a peace of mind to everyone in the car by ensuring the seat belt stays secure until the ride is over.

My 4yr old is Houdini… she has figured out how to get out of her car seat, in the middle of the worst situations, and starts climbing around like it’s a jungle gym. We read the reviews on this one and thought it was worth a shot. Works like a charm! She has tried EVERYTHING to get out of it, and so far so good. It works, keeps her safely secure, & we are ordering another 1 for her little brother who is about to transition into a booster seat as well. Highly recommended. Just use a key and it quickly releases. Does it take an extra 2-3 seconds to undo? Yes. But it’s either a few extra seconds of your time for your child’s wellbeing. I think that’s a no brainer

Three yr old autistic baby that would NOT keep a seatbelt on. I was concerned that he would be able to break through the plastic as he is extremely strong but it kept him in with no problems. I did however have to make sure that there was nothing else in the back seat that he could stick in the slot because he definitely knows how to get it off. While inexpensive this is not a cheap product. I saw reviews where people would say that the piece gets lost or (I guess?) they have issues with using a key to open it. We never lost the piece because as soon as he gets out we just buckle the seatbelt back so the lock stays on at all times and I take my keys out before I unbuckle my kids so it is already in my hand. To whoever made this item…thank you for helping to keep my baby safe 🙂

The buckleroo works, but I gave it three stars because within 30 seconds my 5 year old was out of the seatbelt on multiple occasions. She watched me unlock it once and brought a toothpick from who knows where and opened it herself while driving. This will not work on any child who can think their way out of a problem or who smuggle toothpicks into the car.

So I actually got this because my dog kept stepping on the release and letting himself out of his own seat belt. Hasn’t happed once since I got this! Easy to install, comes with emergency release key, stays in place. Makes driving much safer for Oakley & me.

For $20 you get a bit of flimsy plastic. It broke near the slot where the buckle goes in. I tried glueing it, but it didn’t help. Save your money.

Does what it says. My dog kept unbuckling herself by stepping on the button and I don’t think that will be possible now. I will take off one star, because for $10 this little piece of plastic should feel indestructible. I could tear it apart if I wanted to…$5 would be a better price for what it is.

My daughter always unbuckle herself in the car while moving. This product was a life saver to keep my daughter safe and keep me focused on the road!!

We use these to keep our dogs from unbuckling their leash seat belts. They used to constantly unbuckle themselves by stepping on the buckle but we used these on a 25 hour car trip and they didn’t get unbuckled once. Highly recommend!

My mom bought this for my son who is autistic years ago when he kept on buckling his seatbelt it definitely works and it keeps him in the seat, and when he tries to unbuckle himself, he can’t really recommend for all the artistic moms that there
