I have used a Bosch OBD1100 for several years and decided to upgrade to the OBD1200. When it was received, I was very disappointed that Bosch is too cheap to include the required USB cable that allows for attachment to a PC to update the software.

I been searching high & low for a device like this. I must admit I was like man idk about spending this kinda of money on something that may or may not work. But I took a chance and also purchased the extended warranty. But anyway so far so good. I’ve been able to locate & fix different problems on my vehicles & others. I saved a lot of money by not taking it to a shop for someone else to charge just to tell you what’s wrong with your vehicle. It really works. I’m pleased so far & I had it for months

It absolutely does not have either 94 or 95 SCAN DATA. I own a 1994 Mitsubishi (WHICH IS OBD2 COMPLIANT) and while the obd2 connector does physically connect to the data port, there is zero comms with this device and my 1994 Montero. I decided that what the heck let me see if 1996 will work. So, I selected 96 but there was zero response. I feel like I was deceived with this purchase and that the advertised information is false. BUYER BEWARE. THIS DEVISE WILL WHEN TURNED ON ONLY DISPLAY 1996 TO 2017 VEHICLES PERIOD. YOU MAY HAVE DIFFERENT RESULTS with comms than I did if you have a different make and model. If you have a 1994 and older I don’t recommend this device purchase. THIS IS NOT WHAT I EXPERICED WITH MY $90.00 BRICK SCANNER. TOTALLY UNSATISFIED WITH THE PRODUCT AND PURCHACE. This thing gave me a ton of info and was easy to use. Im glad I got this full featured unit because I know I am going to need it a lot.

I bought this with the understanding that it would connect to the internet and download solutions to codes with the Bosch connect software. The software is not compatible with anything newer that Vista 8. I could partially download the software but not install on the Bosch 1200 code reader and got error messages. It might work just fine as a normal code reader. The vehicle I intend use it on is in use for a few days. I could not find anything more from the Bosch website.
