I was in need of a replacement as my current flow meter is showing signs of use by not adjusting to or holding the fine adjustment they are known to provide. If you really want to get your gas flow adjusted more precisely get rid of your gauges and get a decent flow meter. The gauges are not nearly as precise. This came with an 8.2’ hose, 2 hose clamps and a hose barb. I chose the standard CGA580 option but they do offer one in CGA320 if you have that setup. I think the quality of the build is good and materials also seem good. I can tell a big difference in weight of the one I have now and it seems heavier duty but it also cost 3 times as much, so not a fair comparison. I don’t do as much tig welding as I use to so if you are looking for a decent flow meter for occasional use this one should work fine. Probably not so much for a heavy use type scenario as they all loose their accuracy after many adjustments. If you are a heavy user, pay the price and get a better meter. It is nice to see a QC sticker noting it has possibly passed some testing before being offered. As with most anything nowadays its longevity will have to be determined after continuous use. But for now if you are looking to try a flow meter this might be a good choice. I checked before posting this video and they have a 40% off coupon so you can get this for an amazing price. Just make sure of the option you need before ordering. 4🌟’s

I already have one of these. It works great the reason for a second one was for convenience. If you do any welding Meg or Tig you know that you have to use two separate type of gas. When I had purchased the first one I thought it would be a waste of money to have two of these that all has to do is remove the gauge from one tank and put it on another. The problem is if you’re in the middle of something and you need to use the other type of welder then you have to stop everything and switch it over and then depending on what you’re doing you might have to flip it back to the other tank before you’re done. Now with this one I don’t have to do that any longer I just have to make sure that I turned the bottles off. This was a very good deal and I know my first one seems to be pretty accurate. It’s easy to install it feels like it’s made from some good material it just has that weight to it.

I am fairly new to welding and this is my first welding gas regulator, so I am only able to judge this based on my limited experience. I have used several other types of regulators — everything from the type used on air compressors to the ones used for supplying CO2 to aquariums. I found it pretty intuitive to use (easier than the aquarium ones). What I can say is that this was easy to install, did not leak (double checked everything with bubble solution), and was pretty easy to use in order to get a consistent amount of flow from the tank. I’m running pure CO2 at the moment. I know C25 is preferred for MIG, but I’m just using what I have on hand at the moment and it’s working fine for my needs. The whole thing feels pretty beefy in terms of weight and it only took me a few minutes to dial in my desired flow rate.I can’t speak to the accuracy of the gauges because I installed it on a brand new tank and had no reference to compare it against. Needless to say, I’m happy with the product. I think it works well for my needs and (at the current sale price) seems to be a really good value.

It’s a typical ball style flowmeter, relatively inexpensive (especially if using the coupon ArcCaptain and other similar vendors all seem to offer frequently), and performs well enough. The big question I had was if it would leak, as I’ve tried several of these of varying types (like dual flow for pipe welding) that leaked out of the box. A leakdown test and soap solution showed nothing so that’s a very good sign!Flow rate seems to be accurate enough and the regulator diaphragm hasn’t exploded or anything yet. Should this little guy ever pop and send me diving for the floor, I’ll update the review. For now, if you needed a cheap flowmeter as a backup or to get started, this wouldn’t be a bad choice.

This item has been perfect for me. The main reason I got it is because the two welders I mainly use argon with are arc captains so I figured I would keep it in the family.I haven’t had any issues with leaks, the gauge is clear and simple to read and any adjustments can be made simply. The build quality is good and as I said it’s the same brand as my welders.I think this is a good buy.Until We Meet Again-Off The Grid Ken
