Installation went well and as expected according to supplied instructions or online video. Did it myself in my garage with Floor jack and jack stands to the front. Took a little longer by myself since the s/s shield is heavier to hold up with one hand on your back. All supplied security hardware fit as intended (security fasteners nuts/bolts, spacers and deadbolt). Installed shield feels solid. Had a initial rattle from cat hitting. Took it to muffler shop to change rubber resonator hangers and Re tighten all fasteners for $45. Tightening fasteners under a lift is ideal since you can apply more even upward pressure on the security bolt head with the security key. No more rattle. Car feels more solid over bumps. I chose this shield option because I didn’t want to drill fastener holes in the chassis like other options. This option has no drilling.

Converter stolen in my apartment parking lot. I got the stainless steel cover since it was an easy bolt on. My muffler shop mechanic had it on in less than half an hour. He was impressed with the unique locking bolts and we agreed that welding the middle 4 bolts (its in 3 sections) would make it even harder to get off. I don’t worry about thieves anymore.

Fit perfectly, assembled easily, looks very secure, it’s been on forothd now, no issues with overheating cat area, is well ventilated. Covers cat well and secured it well for being stolen again. Not easy to put on security exhaust bolt cover, fits perfect but due to it being hard to hold and install to exhaust manifold because it’s hard to get to, this covers the exhaust manifold to cat connection flange bolts so they can be cut and blicke access to the bolts so they can’t unbolt cat . Two Blind nutsl inserts were a frustrating pain to install, search YouTube for homemade blind nut tool video on how to make your own simple tool from any 6-8 inch long piece of thin shetmetal, simply drill hole size of bolt at end, this makes the the blind nut install super easily.

The shield is great and so far it’s been durable. The only issue I had recently is the area where the 02 sensor wire is causes a rubbing effect that after a while can create a short and cause a fuse to blow causing the motor to turn off and cause all the lights to turn on triangle of death and everything. I noticed that’s the wire of the 02 sensor was making contact and was able to take it and zip tied it before it got worse. My opinion if for the manufacturer of the shield to add a rubber insulator on the edges near the 02 sensor. If you are installing it for the first time I suggest you zip tied it like I did because prior to that I added duck tape on the edge of the shield and the wire was able to still make contact.
