Took some struggling but I was finally able to instal these in about 1/2 hr. The metal base does not simply slip into the existing space cutout of the heavy duty plastic OEM surround. Backseat passengers prob wouldn’t know the difference in decline unless I told them. Not sure I’d buy again but, considering how hard they were to attach, I didn’t feel like trying to take them back off to return.

Installation is not just those two visible toes bolts, it seems one must remove plastic interior panels to get the original piece out and then new piece in. Are there any instructions on how to do this?
