4 day / 1300 mile trip planned, so decided to pick the AirHawk DS to help me get a couple of more hours a day of seat time. Used it on day one and by mile 200 my backside was talking. By 300 I was in agony and danced in my seat till we pulled over for the night at 350 miles. Next day took AirHawk off and started the next 350 leg of our trip. Without it, I didn’t even reach the “agony” level at all. Over the last 40 miles my backside was talking some, but nothing compared to when I had the AirHawk on.Pro’s– Easy to install- Easy to set up air pressure for my body.Con’s– It did not improve my seat time at all. In fact, it got worse.- Despite cinching it up tight to my bike seat, it still moved around under me….not what you want in the twisty’s.Conclusion- The seat did not live up it’s claims of making things better. I’m just going to have to bite the bullet and get that custom seat.

I bought this out of curiosity, fully expecting also to try a sheepskin and some roller beads too. People seem either to love these cushions or they just don’t. I had no idea what to expect when I tried it out for the first time, and I was disappointed. It’s not like sitting on a magic carpet. But, that’s not really the point. I have a few hundred miles on mine now, and I’ve come to love and appreciate it. First, you have to fiddle with air pressures a bit to get it set up properly for your body. Less air is generally better than more. Once you’ve done that, that magic of this thing isn’t that you feel like you’re in a comfy lounge chair; it’s that after two hours on your bike you don’t feel like you’re sitting on a rock.I like mine and use it all the time. If you buy one, take the time to fiddle with air pressures until you get it where you like it. Then, don’t judge it based on a ride around town. Get out on the road and do a few hundred miles, and then be amazed that your butt isn’t killing you.I ride a 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000LT. The riding position is pretty upright. I’m a tall guy, and I’ve adjusted the bike so it fits me well to start with. If you throw this cushion on a bike expecting it to fix basic ergonomic problems, or if you expect it to do something special on trips around town, you may be disappointed. If you like to get on a well set up bike and do a few hundred miles at a time, you may really appreciate it.This cushion gets four stars from me. It’s well-made, but at $108 it’s a pricey gamble for most folks. At $69.95 it would be a five-star no-brainer.

So..I’ve got an sv650s.The stock seat is not good…an hour at most and I’m uncomfortable..any more and it’s starting to seriously hurt.Got the dual sport as a last hope.I can honestly say it’s made the bike totally useable for long rides.I’m truly shocked at what a difference this seat has made.Just done over 8hrs on the bike in one day..with stops of course..but I wasn’t in pain at all and only just started to get uncomfortable towards the very end of my day which is fair enough after 8 hrs.I really can’t recomend this seat cushion enough.Get the right amount of air in it..I found not too much air..just enough to move your butt cheeks side to side and be able to feel the air was enough.Takes a very short time to get used to it.Best money I’ve spent in a long time.I don’t usually do reviews but this product has transformed my riding..not saying it would work for everyone but see no reason why it would not ..it really is in my humble opinion that good.

The product extends my motorcycle trips for at least 3 to 4 hours. It’s much cheaper than buying a new motorcycle seat and I have not tried that, to compare the difference in comfort, because this product does the trick. Its very easy to inflate and install/remove on my motorcycle. You can inflate it, while its installed on the bike (i.e. easy access to air tube), to the perfect comfort level for you through trial and error. It will take a a few centimetres of height off the ground because you are adding an air seat to your motorcycle seat, so make sure you can still ride comfortably with your feet a little higher off the ground. I have a very tall bike and I tip toe on the ground with the air hawk seat but still find it comfortable and safe. Enjoy!

The product is made well. On a sport bike for me it didn’t provide any more comfort. Too much air and you’re “wobbly” on your seat in addition to adding too much height. It should be barely inflated to get the best result I think. However for me, barely inflating it offered more relief on a bump but no more comfort after an hour ride. And in fact caused discomfort on the very insides of my legs.I’m not a big fan of this air type padding because the air moves around inside from front to back and side to side, and is more pronounced the more air is added. I think I’m going to look for more of a gel type setup next.I’m 6 ft 200lbs so maybe this just isn’t suitable for my build.

Hello to all who read this. This review will be shorter than others I’ve submitted. This Airhawk cushion really works! It takes a little experimentation to determine the best inflation setting for yourself. It may take a few tries before you find the adjustment that’s yours. It did for me. But I rode Saturday morning, and you know what? Comfort on my seat never once entered my mind. Let’s face it. Market seats aren’t comfortable for extended rides, and genuine aftermarket padded seats prices are through the roof. I ride a Ninja Sports Bike and the rides are much more comfortable now. If you’ve ever read any of my reviews before and trusted them, than trust this one now. Peace

I bought a Yamaha MT-03 which is a great little bike with a horrible seat. So I bought an AirHawk accessory which made it much better, but I decided to try adding some egg crate memory foam to it and that made a good seat great. You don’t put very much air in the Airhawk at all because they made the cells huge for some reason, but this means you slide around on it. The egg crate memory foam eliminated all of that and made the AirHawk feel like a lounge chair. Why AirHawk doesn’t offer this as an option is beyond me, but for just a few bucks you can fix the problem.

I have purchased other air hawk products, this did not disappoint at all. It takes a little time to adjust the air to get it just right on the chambers. It’s well with it as it makes a great difference to your ride, no monkey butt, it feels awesome after a long ride, 300 miles !

Bought one for myself and one for my passenger, before maybe an hour of riding and I was ready for an break, after, I’ve rode up to 16 hours a day and up early next morning for more. Definitely a great purchase , if you have a crummy seat I highly would recommend one, you won’t be sorry.

Great for street bikes but on dirt bikes the air pad moves too much for adventure riding in trails and steet.
