I just installed these new replacement pads in my bike helmet and wore it on a training ride. They are definitely thicker than what came with the helmet and that eliminated a “slippage” problem I was having with my old pads. Also I tried to wash the old pads and that pretty much destroyed them… I have NOT washed the replacement pads, but they look way more durable than the original pads. Also, the new pads came with small adhesive hook and pile “dots” which I used as additional attachers for the pads. I am thinking of ordering similar pads for my wife’s helmet.Follow up… After several rides, I put these pads in a “delicates” washing bag and tossed them into the washing machine. They came out in perfect shape with no observable deterioration like I experienced with the pads that came with the helmet (the original helmet pads disintegrated in the washer).I highly recommend these custom fit pads for your helmet pad replacement needs.

Great fit for replacement pads for my bell cycling helmet. Even softer than the pads that came with helmet originally. Velcro into place as originals did and stay during riding. Comfortable fit no itch. Great prosecution for the price!

Old pads had been work out for years and helmet still in good shape for my commute rides. Fit perfectly and helmet is way more comfortable to wear these days. So far they are holding up nicely on my daily commute.

Once you realize these are just a few small pieces of foam cut to size, and a few extra pads for attachment, you will recognize that the markup on this item is quite severe. If you can find foam rubber with a cloth backing of any kind and of this thickness, you are better off cutting the pieces to size yourself. I liked the convenience of getting it sent, I was in no particular hurry. It fits well. I did not need small pads for attachment. If you have any velcro left from a project then you can probably have the backing attachment you need.

My original Bell Influx pads had disintegrated after many years. I was tempted to make some homebrew replacements but decided to try these first. If they last they are fine. I’ve only worn them a few times so can’t yet rate their durability. I’d give another star if the package included two sets (as my helmet did originally), as they seem a bit overpriced.

I have ridden around 50 miles or so at this point with the new pads in my helmet. Some observations.* Fit – The shape of these is almost exactly like the original pads meaning the footprint of them is roughly the same so they fit very well in the space vacated by the original pads. The adhesive Velcro disks stuck well and the pads stay in place very well.* Size – Theses pads are considerably thicker than the stock pads. If your noggin is at the upper end of the size spectrum, these pads will result in a very snug fit. For me, they work well to take up some of the slack in the fit of my helmet and work very well. I like the thicker padding.* Sweat – These pads do not do a very good job of wicking sweat away. The stock pads had a covering that soaked the sweat away but these do not have that. It is just foam so the sweat runs right by them and into my eyes. I feel like I spend a good portion of my rides wiping sweat away. I will be trying a sweat band worn under my helmet to see if that helps.Overall for the money, I am happy with these but they could be better.
