I used to use the ‘On-Sale’ stuff from the local Auto Store(s) but about a year ago someone convinced me that while the cheap stuff did some cleaning of fuel injectors it did not get all the gunk out to assure proper flow and firing and recommended the BG 44K. I tried it and sure enough there was a significant difference in how the engine runs, idling, pick up from start and passing power out on the open road, plus the better gas milage. Cost more but well worth it. Price on Amazon is about 20% cheaper than what you will find in the Auto Stores and about 25-30% cheaper than you will get in any of the dealer or local ‘oil service’ joints. Shipping was quick and well packaged in with this one buying the 3 cans they even thru in the gas spout to use with it. Good deal for Good Stuff!

This stuff really works. Unlike other fuel system cleaner products where you hope or guess they work, you can feel it with BG 44k. I first put it in my 2014 Kia Optima (has a GDI engine). I can’t say the car was running bad but I had noticed it had lost a little of it’s pep since I first purchased the car. By mid-way through the tank of gas with 44k in it, I could already feel the pep in the engine had returned. Gas mileage on the highway is up about 1mpg which doesn’t seem like much but when you commute 90 miles a day, I’m good with anything positive. I then put it in our 2007 Kia Sedona van. I purposely drove it on my normal commute (90 miles) and measured the mpg. Just like the Optima, the mpg seemed to have improved. The van when new was rated at 25mpg on highway. It was averaging more like 22-23. On yesterday’s commute it measured at 24-25. No doubt about this product working.

2006 Toyota highlander hybrid with 170000 miles has started to produce CEL that decodes to high speed miss on all cylinders at 75mph or greater. After one can of 44k the next 800 mile trip with multiple sustained 75+ mph interstate sections where I have previously received the check engine light produce no such errors. This had been a very repeatable issue before using the product. I did not see any fuel economy increase as some have reported but for my problem I am currently completely satisfied. Even the three can price was OK for the results provided

I was a little apprehensive ordering this due to the price, but it had good reviews so I took the plunge. And it delivered. The first tank showed an increase in fuel mileage of three miles to the gallon for city driving and six mpg on highway. Now I didn’t drive super fast, but maintained about 1900 rpm for highway . I’m sure it cleaned the injectors. Very impressed with performance. Only negative was the pull top, it made it a little difficult to use the funnel that came with the can, so I spilled some. I’ll buy again and recommend it for a high mileage vehicle that has lost fuel economy. (2008 Acura MDX, 160,000 miles)

BG 44K is the best fuel system cleaner, but it may take more than one can to truly have an impact. In fact, some shops have specialized BG 44K intake cleaning machines and they recommend doing that at the same time as running a can through your fuel tank.I’ve used it in several vehicles in the past and have been pleased with the results. I noticed my 2004 Audi S4, which had carbon build up issues, ran noticeably smoother after the 44K fuel system treatment, even better yet after the 44K intake treatment.Yes, BG products are more expensive, but as is with many things, you get what you pay for. You’ll probably need to run 10 cans of that $3.68 Chemtool through the system to do what 44K does. I’m a huge believer in 44K and do my best to run it through my vehicles every 5,000 miles.

This is amazing stuff! I bought a non-running 2003 Windstar from a buddy for $300 five months ago. After replacing the fuel pump, spark plugs, wires, coil pack, and one fuel injector, it was running like a champ, but only getting 12 miles per gallon in suburban driving. I mentioned this to my mechanic, who told me there is only one gasoline additive that will help…44K. I, of course, thought he was just blowing smoke. But he is a good mechanic, so I tried 44K (wow, do I sound like I’m hawking snake oil or what!). I put one can in with a full (25 gallon) tank of 87 octane gasoline several weeks ago, and by the end of that tank, mileage was up to 15-16 MPG, where it continues to be. The treatment may have given the car a little more power, but that is just as likely a “placebo effect.” There were no other variables, and I had been getting the 12 MPG for a solid four months prior to using the 44K, so I can’t attribute the improvement in gas mileage to any other identifiable factor. Most definitely worth a try.

I used this based on recommendation of a trusted service center. I have used Lucas and more recently Techron cleaner. This is on par maybe a bit better then Techron. Notice a small gain in mileage and ran smoother. Good purchase

Pretty expensive but it does do a good job.
