    Excellent backing disc with an optional foam pad. A backing disc diameter with a 1/4 shank AND hook & loop attaching method (versus screw lock) isn’t a combination readily found on the shelf in my go-to box stores. Shank attaches securely with the retaining nut and lock washer, but can easily be made more secure with a dab of loctite if one wants that extra confidence.

    I go through these fast because I use them with my lathe when sanding bowls and the foam takes a beating. It works great.
