Was a perfect match to my toro recycler

Left and right not labelled on gears like OEM have to know which way to turn gear for left or right. Washers were slightly thicker which caused clearance issues for gear to rotate correctly luckily used OEM for that

My Toro Recycler mower had failing rear drive. I could feel it and hear it since the teeth of gears were not completely engaging and made a noise that sounded like teeth jumping. So that would be either the teeth on these small gears (in this purchase) or the corresponding teeth on the wheels. When I looked it was obvious: teeth on the wheels looked good, but the teeth on these small gears were noticeably worn.IMPORTANT POINT: For regular use you will need to keep these gear assemblies lubricated. I just use regular grease but really anything is better than nothing. When these gears do not ratchet properly you will definitely notice it since when you push the mower forward when engine is off the wheels are locked up. That is the rachet mechanism inside these small pinion gears that provide drive force when engine is running and you want the mower to go forward, and when engine is off you push the mower forward the mechanism allows the wheels to roll freely. With the engine off makes a small sound click…click….click when rolling the mower backwards. That tells you the drive gears have lubrication inside. With a little maintenance and replacing wear parts, these mowers last two decades easy.
