INSTALLATION METHODS AND PRECAUTIONS
1. Clean and dry the surface area where the weather strip will be installed
2. Carefully peel off the protective film covering of the weather strip, align the weather strip along the edge of the truck tailgate. Start from one end and gradually press it down, keeping it adheres evenly and smoothly without bubbles
3. When encountering corners, please use a knife or other cutting tools to cut out 45°V-shaped openings, and then paste it
4. If the weather strip exceeds the length of the area to be sealed, use a utility knife to cut it to the exact size needed
5. Final Inspection: Check for any gaps, bubbles, or loose sections and re-adhere if necessary
Note: After installation, try not to come into contact with water for 2-3 days to achieve optimal adhesion. If you install it in cold weather, you can heat it up with a hair dryer for enhanced stickiness

The rubber material is thick and pliable, and it’s easy to cut to fit. The adhesive back is strong.I took my time and cleaned the tailgate area really good to get ride of any dirt or grease. Then I dry fitted the seal and cut seal to fit. I started with the long bottom piece and then did the side. The entire process took maybe 40 minutes including the pre-cleaning step.The gate closes as well as before but now it seal out water and dirt that would get around the tailgate.Did I mention that there is no re-positioning the seal once it is stuck to the truck? The glue has a very strong hold.If your truck has a tonneau cover or camper shell, adding this seal to your tail gate will help keep items in the bed of the truck drier and cleaner.
