Everything about this appears to be good quality. It can mount with the ring horizontal or vertical to work well with objects to the left or right as well as higher or lower although those two seem less sensitive to orientation.

This looks to be well built. The rating is much higher than I would even need. It great that it comes with a locking pin. Maybe it needed to for the rating capacity to make sure a weaker pin is not bought separately by the buyer. I’m not sure.The color coating seems durable and will not scratch off easily. It has a rubber protector for the shackle so that helps to keep everything nice looking. I recommend this hitch shackle combo.

Update just had to pull harder !!!Bought it last May and now I can’t get the key to unlock unlock it to get it off. Went through the troubleshooting thing, but there’s nothing there for that issue and I’m not sure who to contact.I’ve lubricate it and when you unlock it, the thing pops out, but it won’t come all the way out
