From Mini-Stock to Outlaw Sprint Cars, reducing the sound level is becoming the norm. Today’s racers are spending thousands of dollars to go racing. The last thing they want to do is get put on the trailer for too much noise. The exhaust Insert Cone can help you keep on track. That’s sound insurance! 100% T-304 stainless steel construction. Compact size fits all racing applications. Ultra lightweight – less that 1/2 lb. each. Little or no power loss. Easy bolt-in or weld in installation. Typically good for a 1-3 reduction in db. Typically good for a 1-3 dB reduction. Compare to the competitors with the same high quality stainless 304 Stainless steel and half of the price! This cone insert can be fitted inside your existing exhaust to bring down the volume without the need for extra resonators or mufflers. This insert fits directly into your exhaust, these slip fit in but you’ll want to either use the integrated nut or tack weld them in. This fits inside of 2.5 inch OD piping. Meaning it is slightly smaller than 2.5″ so it fits snug into the piping. For mounting with bolt it uses an M8 Metric bolt which is not included.

Failed inspection at 95db after install reads 91db and has a more throaty sound, not clear on which direction to install the cone, regardless chose best fit for my configuration with exhaust exit at cone tip

I installed it between my resonated exhaust tip and mini muffler/resonator, it helped reduce the volume and eliminated more annoying drone. My exhaust sound more refined.

It takes the edge off of a loud exhaust. Got two, one for each exit. Put it in tip first with the edges flush to the exhaust end. It has a nut so you can bolt it down but I found it’s pretty solid without it. And my exhaust tip clamps also squeeze on them a bit. Like I said it won’t make an exhaust quiet but it’ll bring your exhaust from “my neighbors hate me” to “they aren’t a fan”. Plus they are easy to remove if you want to be a bit louder for a car show or something else like that. I wanted to make my car more comfortable for daily driving and this makes the car sound good without giving me a headache. Honestly I do think the price was a bit high but it did want a wanted.
