Welds easily in all positions.

Been using these from my shop for a little while, these are cheater rods. They weld so well and easy its not even funny. 6013 is hard compared to using these. Good perpetration and restart.

Purchased these rods for repair work around the farm using an old Forney AC only welder. The rods strike and arc easily and stay lit. I get good penetration and clean smooth welds. Material prep doesn’t have to be perfect with these to allow for a quality weld. I have recently purchased an older Lincoln ac/dc tombstone welder, the 80T-AC Plus rods run well on all 3 settings AC, DC+, and DC-. Slag is easily removed off the top, with little brushing required. Very handy rod to have around the farm or shop. They also don’t have to be stored in an oven, which is great for the electric bill not having to run a rod oven around the clock.

Best welding rod ever!

These rods are great, used on a/c welder

Expensive Rod but worth it for novice or hobby welders. Welds out of position better than any rod I’ve ever used. Works well on cheaper AC Cracker Box welders, fewer times breaking an arc…. Works well on low cost one or two cylinder Gasoline AC Welders also. High tensile strength 80,000 lbs.

This company manufactures the best electrodes. Good luck finding any without spending $300 these rods laid in nice. I was thinking about flying all the way to Wisconsin just so I could walk in their store… Take what you can get but anything that has their name on it is good stuff

I ordered 2 ten pound boxes of MG welding electrodes on 2 successive days. The first to arrive were instead US Forge electrodes. I assumed the MGs were unavailable and the ones received were an equivalent substitute. When I recently opened the box and attempted a small welding job I found these to be a very inferior product that does not work for my purpose. The second box that arrived the following day was actually MGs and worked flawlessly. By the time I discovered how terrible the US Forge substitutes were the return window had closed so I am stuck with 10 pounds of nearly useless rods! I have been welding for over 30 years. My 1 star rating is for the terrible US Forge substitutes – not the excellent quality MGs.
