I have a 2005 Silverado LT 1500. This plug and play was just what I needed for a quick pretty painless install and beat the $500 price tag the shops wanted to install one. Harness is a little tight under the column but unraveling some of the electrical tape on the factory plug harness that plugged into the column allowed me to push it all to the back bottom of the column where there is more room for the remote start harness to stay and still be able to put the steering column back together. The plug and play did not pick up my brake trigger so I had to hook the purple wire that says (brake trigger do not hook up) to the brake pedal switch +12v that triggers the brake lights. I am a 20+ year commercial HVAC technician and will still say you should be moderately mechanically inclined to attempt this installation. I put the antenna inside the driver side pillar cover to keep it hidden and still have pretty good range to remote start the vehicle. It’s only been a couple weeks since installing but so far all good. I don’t know if the hood pin feature (disables the remote start if the hood is open) works through the plug and play harness or not as I have not tested that but if it doesn’t I will install the optional one it came with later. The security override module also works well and seemed easy to program. One of the remotes was not working and flashing both red & blue LED’s at the same time when pressing the buttons. Turns out this means the batteries in the remote are too low for it to operate and tech support gladly sent me out a new set for both remotes

Works great on my 2006 GMC Sierra. My truck wasn’t equipped with factory keyless entry. The data connection made that work and lights turn on with the remote. Easy plug and play installation. Programming feature settings with the wired switch was a pain. I broke the factory connector in the steering column when I disconnected it. Had to put a couple zip ties on it to hold it together.Edit: 11-2018After one year, the ONLY problem I had was that I had put it into valet mode. I spent an hour looking at connections, wondering why it would not start before I dug out the manual. My battery did die on me after my truck sat for about two weeks. But with 260,000 miles it could have been anything that drained it.Very happy with my purchase, especially because I now have keyless entry.

First let me say that if you can do 1. Follow simple installation directions and 2. Make 1 simple modification, this is super easy to install and really is a single connection install.First, the directions walk you straight through and if you follow them it takes no time at all and is a straight forward process. This includes the programming part. Just read the install guide and follow it and make your life easy. Don’t try to skip around. Now time for the mod! It comes at the very first step which is unplugging the ignition harness. After you unplug it you will notice you don’t have hardly and give in it because it has another wire that is held to it with electrical tape. Remove the electrical tape and you can separate the wires and will be able to move the ignition harness farther back under the column and not have any firm Ent issues at all. I had no issues getting the extra wiring of the remote starter in place and the column cover back on.Only other note I have is for the ground. Right behind the obdII connector your will see 2 10mm nuts on a metal panel. One of these is the perfect place for your ground wire.I didn’t wire in any of the extras as I just wanted it for the remote start and it works perfect for that. Doors lock/unlock, parking lights flash as they should and all is good.

Wow what a great product. I barely even had to look at the instructions other that to program the fobs. It was so easy to install, the fobs are mostly metal, and there is no lag when you push a button.Very happy with this product.

I just installed this remote starter today and it was truly plug in and done, no wiring to do at all.I had read on here another had to wire in the tach signal and glow plug delay timer. Before I started I sent MPC a message asking about having to wire in the tach signal and glow plug delay timer and received a quick response and detailed instructions on how to program those functions, no wiring to do. It was super easy and is working well. The only thing that is not in the instructions is you have to remove the lower portion of the steering column cover, the one that goes around the ignition key and shifter. You can’t get to the ignition harness plug without taking it at least partially off.

Quit working after two months and it’s like pulling teeth to get simple answers. Would not buy from mpc ever again.

My only complaint was the instructions. There are no printed instructions included, only a QR link. The QR link didn’t work for me, and I reached out to MPC customer service. The response I got was just a copy of the Web link. Same link as the QR code. I found some YouTube videos of similar installs and figured it out.Great product, but customer tech service needs work.

Let me start by saying I am an installation veteran. I’ve been installing car audio and alarm systems for over 20 years I installed Let me start by saying I am an installation veteran. I’ve been installing car audio and alarm systems for over 20 years. I installed this plug-in play system with great ease, I was actually glad to see something that was relatively easy to put in. Within the first 36 hours of install, I had a no start situation and I unplugged the interface module from the harness and vehicle started. I noticed a pin in the harness that was plugged into the interface module was not properly installed in the harness. I called tech-support and told them my issue and they agreed to send me a new unit and a return label so I could ship my unit back, one week later I called tech-support back And they said the only way we could do it is if you send us your unit first so I would have to tear my car apart put it back factory put it all back together so it can be driven. Wait a week get the new unit back tear my car apart again and reinstall the new unit I find this ridiculous.I will not be purchasing anything else from this company.
