This works well, and I love how it integrates with the factory key fob. Some notes when using with a 2013 Toyota Camry SE- there are two screws that need to be taken out to remove the lower steering column plastic shroud. Turn the steering wheel 90 degrees both directions to get access- no idea what the point of the parking light interface is for, my lights seem to work correctly without it- after the car is started, the fob no longer works – this is expected on some cars – you will have to unlock the door manually- the car does not turn off until 15 minutes go by, or the first time you touch the brake pedal- the color of the wire for the lock motor in my car is red with gray bands, the instructions indicate this as pin 18 on the white harness, which was accurate for me

Before I purchased this product I asked the seller if this was all I needed to remote start my car and he said yes, thats all I needed. Nothing else. That was a lie. Cuz in order to open the car door after remote starting it, I had to use the key turn off the car when I stepped on the break and restart again with the key. So I also had to buy the link updater thing, and also a Fortin remote in order to unlock car door after remote starting it. So I didnt like being lied to. The product had already cost me $250.00+. And now $50.00 nore for the updater and another $60.00 for the Fortin remote.

Wife was adamant about buying a remote starter kit for her Toyota Camry. For two seasons in a row I installed this starter kit without any success. I spent countless frustrating hours with this plug and play system and still no results. Now the plug ins all fit as directions told me and then what was left was two wires to connect, one to light connector and one too the ignition plug in and no luck. Car runs, lights flash, doors lock. The company said they could flash it from their location, car would not turn over. Then I was told by the company that I had to purchase a flashlink from Amazon to flash evo again, another 40.00 and the car did everything else but start. I just finished wiring a P71 crown victoria as a retirement project, added extra components and it turned out well, so I do know my way around a car. Know I have a almost 300.00 purchase on the shelf in the garage. My opinion, this is not a plug and play product.

Install was easy as I am a mediocre DYI person. Had issues with programming as it would only remote start when the key was in the ignition (obviously defeats the purpose). Their tech support wasn’t available for a scheduled call to help for 28 hours which made it difficult with the dash and steering torn apart. After 5 hours of research, YouTube, and trial and error I was able to figure out the programming. This changed my rating to a 3 star. Works as expected 2 weeks later in single digit temps.

This kit worked great. Really was a plug and play set up that took a short while to install. I live in an apartment, so remote start is high on my list of requirements for the winter months. My only complaint is that the device honks my horn twice Before auto starting. This however is a Mazda programming issue, not an issue with this remote start kit. In hindsight, I almost wish I would’ve ordered the version with the designated remote vs relying on the “lock 3x” method.

I don’t know why other buyers had issues to get this to work.It took me longer to read the instructions and watch the install video than it was to plug in all the harnesses, program and test.Took me about 45 mins to watch and read the instructions booklet and videos, took apart all the trim, plug in the wire harnesses, program, test and put everything back.PROS:Quick and easy to add remote start to factory key fobCONS:Like other users stated once remote started remote entry won’t work. Even with factory installed kit does the same thingAutomatic headlight no longer works. I might be the only user who experience this. Headlight has to be turned on manually for dusk or night time.

It works on my 2012 camry not hybrid. Just some programming issues as the remote stops working once you use the remote start.

Worked beautifully. Ive never done something like this before myself but it worked out no problem and took about an hour and a half. And before my installation i emailed them with all my questions and they were exceptionally helpful.
